Sports Club

This club is for people who do ANY kind of sports - regularly or unregularly - the most important thing is that you enjoy it. /houra// Here you can share what kind of sports you've done, which are your favorite species atm, what would you love to try next and what sports you've done today. rockparty//

I'm not very athletic but I've been planing on starting a healthier life style: I re-started ice skating last winter (I'm very happy about it even though I went ice skating only 4 times because the ice melted earlier this year). This week I started going for a walk again (I love walking and I usually walk much during the holidays, but during the busy and tiring semester and getting a new flu after another I haven't have any energy left. Now most of the semester is done (I still have lots of independent studies to do tho) and I have more time to take care of myself :happycopains_:

I'm also looking forward to the summer since I love swimming in a lake (and we have lots of lakes in my country). I just want the water to be warm enough

Also, I like to dance alone at home. And I'm planing on doing some pilates at home once a week. I'm not a fan of group lessons :ehmeh::

I've tried many sports during my life: ballet, figure skating, country cross skiing, skiing, tennis, bad minton, running, yoga, tai chi... But I've quit them all. (Sometimes I do some single tai chi or yoga movements tho but not the full series anymore).

What I've done this week:
- I went for a walk three times :D

Whoa i genuinely didn't know you did THIS many sports, but I'm not against it

Now I've tried a lot less sports but I still tried a good number

I'm a professional tennis player but I struggle because it's a really expensive sport but I still absolutely love it

Recently I've been dancing in my own home, less as a sport and more as like a way to kill time and to move a bit. It's actually kind of ironic because I used to find the idea of dancing to be silly but now I yearn to find a time to absolutely butcher a choreography from a music video or performance of whatever song I try out that day,in private of course because I'm so shy that I think I would pass out on a stage :problem:

I've been swimming for YEAAARS,not professionally but to this day I count the days unto summer comes just because I wanna go to the beach...well not JUST that of course but I love to swim. Once I get in a pool or an ocean I won't get out the water for at least an 3-4 hours if I have nothing else to do and it's been the same since I was a kid. There have been times where I spent 1/3 or more than a quarter of my day just swimming.

I've tried skating but umm...I left it at trying :ehmeh:: my mom got me really expensive skates at first when I didn't even ask for it and no one warned me how skating would actually feel so I went into it blindly out side of seeing a character from a show that I don't remember skate. I had both roller skates AND a skating board too and my mom always had this bad habit where she when it came to old things she wouldn't sell them, wouldn't give them away, wouldn't recycle or upcycle them but just...THROW THEM AWAY. She once threw out a now 50 something dollar Walkman after not using it for ages

I also have experience with playing football/soccer,basketball and volleyball from when I was a kid because soccer is huuuuge here and I used to play it a lot when I was 6 but I kinda fell out of love with it over the years and that's probably a good thing because the people here play SO VIOLENTLY,I remember I was really shy but I wanted to have friends as well so once a few kids my age invited me to play and kid me thought to my kid self "how violent could they be?"...I almost broke my right arm there. Thankfully with the other two I don't have any bad memories with them

Was it a middle school was it a high school I don't remember but they taught handball for a while but it didn't really last so...that semi-counts?

I allow went ice skating once as a kid but never really pursued it

What I've done this week:
- Will go to my weekly tennis practices this weekend (I'm a professional but I HAAATE where I go to exercise here so I downgraded from 4 1 hours exercises to 2 1 hour exercises a week only in the weekend)
- Couldn't dance because there's a guest in my house evevn though I wanted to
