Has anyone else found it interesting how we don't have a song if the summer? In 2024we had Espresso,Pink Pony Club and so much more and the whole Brat summer trend,but 2025 feels so empty.It seems like the only trending song is "Nothing beats a Jet2Holiday" then again it's not popular on YouTube only on TikTok. I personally was rooting that Summerboy by Lady Gaga would become popular but sadly that didn't happen. Chappell Roan has released her new single The Subway but that hasn't been very trending and I have personally not heard it. There are rumors of superstar Taylor Swift releasing her 12th album,some say there will be a documentary of her insanely successful Eras Tour as there were many cameras in the last few shows. When Swift got the right to her first six albums back after they were stolen in 2018 a few months back,she stated she rerecorded her first album "Taylor Swift" (it's a self titled album) these re recordings are called Taylor's Version and the only ones not released yet are Taylor's Version's of her debut and her 2017 album Reputation. Swift stated she couldn't bring herself to rerecord Reputation because it was so personal,but we know that debut is rerecorded. Universal Music and the music industry in general has been financially struggling as huge stars like Taylor Swift,Ariana Grande and more have not released new albums this year. Pop music seems to be in a bit of a crisis,whilst Lady Gaga DID release this year the hype for her new album Mayhem has died down. It seems as though Sabrina Carpenter's new album is going to be the highlight of 2025 music as it has brought controversy ewith just one single and one album cover. Do you have any hope for this year to have good music? Personally I don't.
