I mean I think the shave looks cool but the EXTREMELY rational Tecna would never do such a thing even if you threatened her to do it. And honestly...yeah,Flora's kind of looks like the mix of a skydiver a rope dancer and a word I don't think is allowed on here. But there was a thing I found really cool. So I heard this from the comment section of The Unicorn Of War's most recent video. Apparently the butterflies Bloom looks in awe in her transformation are called "Daphne's" that's a great detail,I must say. I like the reference to how the Dragon Fire created the Magical Dimension. Other than that,it's just kind of generic spinning,I do like a few violations of the Law Of Physics but...this ain't it for me,it's ok to like it but I personally don't. Aisha,it's actually lowkey the best transformation but sometimes the water looks more like a neon blue slime which... Musa...I fricking hate the bubble she wakes up in,it's too fluid and it makes me grossed out,the background changes colors too often. She looks like an uncanny valley version of Marinette,I gave her the nickname Marinette Dupaininmyeyes Cheng actually also why that MJ moonwalk? I think it looks weird on CGI. Also we are in the Magical Dimension,how do they know about MJ who is from Earth? Wasn't Bloom's brand new phone ancient technology in the Magical Dimension according to Tecna? I...What? Stella...they did her SO dirty,I don't even remember the last half of the transformation to tell you the truth. I hated it so much I managed to forget it,but that proves how distastefully basic it is.

Honestly,I don't think they use AI,I'm sure of it. What a disgraceful company Rainbow is. And they are going to make a Winx themed show on the MIDDLE EAST...yes,the highly religious Middle East is where Winx is going to go to. And they chooses the Magic Winx outfits and made a horrible edit... I cannot with this,this is such a disappointment. Like I'm sorry,the Winx Club cartoon that features revealing outfits,messages about empowering women,Lucy and Mirta and Avalon and Palladium who very clearly have hints of a relationship or an ex-relationship in the case of Lucy and Mirta are going to the Middle East where the age of consent is 9 and women can't go out without a man or have their hair out and have no choice of religion other than Islam...this is so wrong. Everything about this era of Winx is wrong. At least in the 2010's the worst we got was whitewashing and bad writing. This is so much worse. I don't think we miss being a kid. We just miss the joy of being a kid. The 2000's was a time of racism,homophobia. I mean a medical term for someone who has an illness or a certain issue with their brain,the r word got turned into an insult,it wasl clearly an awful time! Even though things like that and tragedies like 9/11,at least children had safe spaces and good entertainment and children were usually kept out of the mess of those times. I feel bad for Gen Alpha and Beta. We are doing our future doctors,engineers,artists and so much more so dirty...it depresses me.

Oh, I didn't know about the butterflies, that's cute. But overall, they put so many unnecessary things into the transformations… I didn't even notice the bubble from which Musa appears the first time. It's just another pointless, meaningless detail. Paradoxically, there's so much of this stuff that in the end nothing really sticks in your mind.

After posting my message, I rewatched Enchantix and Believix in 3D, well... Even Sirenix in 3D looked better than reboot transformations because the background wasn't as overloaded with different details (though their endless movements still annoy me ).
Is overstimulation really so in fashion now? Is it the only way in our TikTok-driven world?

As for the references, in my opinion, Winx themselves are a self-sufficient pop culture phenomenon. So many things were so well blended and reworked in Winx that it resulted in its own cool original lore. That's why I agree that overusing references to our world would be out of place in Magix... And, you know, there were references to pop culture in the old series before (for example, Zing's transformations and Hallowinx! episode), but those were really clever references. And that's why throwing in out of nowhere these obvious Little Mermaid and MJ moonwalk things feels a little bit weird...

They would've been better off focusing more on self-referencing instead. For example, they could have given the legendary(!) crossed-arm ✌✌ gesture to all the fairies in their transformations. Why did they give it only to Musa? (not even Bloom lol)

And yeah, I'm glad that Winx Club is still alive and didn't die out like, for example, W.i.t.c.h., but it's a shame that the project was so blatantly turned into a cash cow. Although unfortunately, I can believe that the creators genuinely think the reboot looks super good now lol

Ugh, I feel so bitter after writing all this... I really need to cool down. I hope I'm not bringing too much negativity. I'll still try to believe in the best, wait for the episodes to come out, and do my best not to jump to long-term conclusions. At least the teaser had a warm, lively atmosphere... me trying to stop venting

Just to make things clear - whan I've said that the new transformation could be inapproriate for Flora, I meant it in term of mismatched, not as morally questionable.
I do like the idea of the sequence, but the altheticism of it matches rather Aisha than the fairy of flowers. Quite honestly, if they'd give it to Lalya (with some changes, obviously) to show her use of morphix, I would totally love that idea for her! Cause as much as I like the hair flip part, I would love more of the morphix refferences and bit less of generic sea powers.
But that's the name of the game, I guess - generic!

(Plus green-o-phobic, which is a pity, as it's my fav colour and it made me so glad that it was one of few "girlie" shows that wasn't afraid to use it in the styling of the main characters... at least in the early seasons. R.I.P green, it was nice to have You, when we did. )

Since I've made my comment before the last transformation was up - a quick question - what's up with Bloom being now a fire jet engine?! And what happened to the dragon?
As for the butterflies - they were cute, as refference to Daphne, they're even cuter, but for me, even without it, they work. She designed the winx logo, in original series, and it has the butterfly motif, so it's clearly something she associated with fairies and magic back then, and so could be so here too.

If I was charitable, I would say they remembered the reaction to the original, high concept, one and overcorrected. But I'm, not and instead, after the Saga, it looks rather that they have no idea what do to with her... (Yeah, I get it, we rather don't have any clear and holding concepts of what "futuristic" look like, as we did in the past, so the most boring gym wear it is, I guess...) But seriously keep her old silluette and glide, but update the helmet to a holographic headpiece/tiara/ the glasses sailor mercury had? For goodness sake the heels of her boots had more character that the whole new outfit combined!

And You're absolutely right that her giggling the whole time through doesn't suit her. She should be calm and collected, while she was adjusting, whatever she was adjusting. Perhaps she should even rise an eyebrow to mark how easy it was to her, as oppose to the cluless viewer, cause she's so much smarter and cooler... Poor, poor Tecna.

ohh I know, right? The constant streams of fire coming from Bloom's hands really got on my nerves... It looks so inelegant! Especially at the end! It's just unnecessary there like they added it just for the sake of adding something Just... WHY...

When I saw that Tecna's belly button was showing, I knew it was the end...
You actually got me thinking about what "futuristic" is supposed to look like nowadays. But yeah... I feel like even just making the outfit a bit more covered up would've looked better. Now it really does look like gym wear.
I'm still hoping that her hair clip (or whatever it is) is actually functional and can somehow turn into glasses. It's not like that would change much, but still.

Personally, I don't mind her having revealed stomach area, if it was something fitting her character and theme, just make it interesting! Yeah, there's definitely something to be said about the toktification of the aestethics. I also hope the clip would be at least somewhat functional.

Yeah it just doesn't make sense,don't get me wrong Y3K is one of my favorite aesthetics of all time but this is Tecna looks like she went to the gym but then fel into a pool of LED lights

Given that my niece is traning since she was about 7 years old, I don't see anything wrong with pole dancing.
TBH, it would be nice, if the animators actually looked at the performances, or masterships, and maybe locked-in some basics of poses and choreo, cause at momentstyhe movements in the animation feels off, but that a different discussion.

Yeah, I can't disagree that it's a gymwear with LEDs. And I finally realized why it feels so repetative - it's literally a worst version of what K/DA wore 5 years ago... but I will stop complaining now, and will write again only if I find something nice to say.
