Hopefully one day you'll have an opportunity to visit Russia It's rather sad. I was also planning to go to Italy after university and maybe enter the master's program but for now it's not possible for me. Anyway I believe I'll just visit it one day

This information is very valuable to me because I've been trying to remember the old forum since I found this one and I couldn't! So now I'm sure I'm not mad and there really was only the Italian forum I used to visit to discuss Park Gardenia !! It felt very crowded, that's true, and I understood nothing because I could barely speak English around those times! Taking into account the fact that translators were so undeveloped at that time, reading my texts must have been a nightmare

Margherita is always a good choice I like I think all variations of pizza except pizza with pineapples I tried it only once in my life and it was terrible to me, and since then I never tried it again Does it happen to exist in Italy or do Italians really get disgusted by it?

I actually didn’t enjoy my time in Latvia as much as I wanted to. The main thing is that I got into a huge fight with a friend of mine that was there with me (we were also roommates), and after that we never talked again. This alone was very painful, but I managed to find new great friends there - now I’m actually on holiday with one of those people 😁
But I also missed my boyfriend very much, and the weather was way too cold for me - it went to -15ºC or something, and I’m used to max 2/3ºC here in winter 🥶 I couldn’t stand that cold.
But Riga is a beautiful city and I also had the opportunity to travel to Vilnius, Tallinn, Helsinki, Stockholm and Copenhagen, so I can’t say that it was a terrible experience. I just wish I could live it more lightheartedly at the time

Anyways, I’m sure that one day I will be able to visit Russia and you will be able to visit Italy 😻

About the forums, omg I thought that every state had their own forum at first and they were then merged together - but you’re saying that there was just the Italian forum? So the Russian site was just Gardenia park and mini games and then you could access the Italian forum? Well, I’m happy that eventually everyone got their own space, especially for people who didn't speak Italian at all. Online translators were so bad at the time 😂 I remember going to the English forum and reading “u” - of course it stood for you, but the translator wouldn’t understand it and it took ages for me to realize 😂

I miss Gardenia park so much 🥺 it was not the same after they closed it to open Winx Adventure. Even though I would spend the majority of time in the forum, I still loved the park so much.
Around those times online multiplayer worlds were everywhere, I've never played Habbo hotel but I loved barbiegirls.com that was similar to Gardenia Park in a way - have you ever heard of if? unfortunately it was closed in 2011 too 🤷🏼‍♀️

OMG pineapple pizza is like cursing for Italians 😂 it's the worst combination, pizzerias here don't even sell
it. I know some people outside Italy appreciate it though

I feel sorry for you, losing friends is always tough, especially in such a situatuon when you are far away from home. There is a good saying that I like: "Sometimes we have to lose something precious in order to gain something priceless." It describes your situatuon quite well I guess

Oh I'm a bit jealous! What region are you from if not a secret? For us, it's -30C in winter sometimes fortunately, it doesn't last for too long and doesn't happen every year, but the average temperature in winter is something between -20C and -10C here normally. Last winter we had almost +10C in January that was completely abnormal but I enjoyed it later in April the weather decided to win back so we suddenly had snow, whereas usually we don't have it in April.

I should say your trip was full of emotions and discoveries, you managed to see soo different places! I've got a friend from Vilnus who I never met in real life but we both would love to do it as soon as we can too. Well, I've got a lot of friends from all over the world haha It's so interesting to hear something new about the culture of other countries and their language. My friend speaks Russian but she tried to teach me some Lithuanian and now I'm proud to be capable of saying a couple of phrases

I think there was only Italian! Perhaps there were some subforums for foreigners but I don't remember anything about it. Probably they didn't create different forums at first because they didn't expect such popularity world wide I'm not really sure if the main page was translated into different languages either but I may be wrong, at least there should have been English othervise I have no idea how I managed to access it

It’s been a few days but I’ve been on holiday. I’m at the airport right now, I’m coming back home

Anyways, I’m from Liguria (it’s in the North) - and I’m shocked about the cold where you live 😳 are you in Siberia? It’s crazy to me that the weather reaches -30ºC, I’d never leave the house in that cold 😂 but I suppose it’s something you get used to? Like if you came to Italy now that it’s +30ºC you’d find it too hot maybe 😂

It’s really nice that you have online friends from all over the world ☺️ have you met any of them in the Winx forum?
I met a girl in the og forum in 2010 and we’re best friends to this day 😄 we both live in Italy but I’m in the north and she’s in south, but we managed to meet in person a few times

Where have you been to?

The name of the region sounds very beautiful I've studied the geography of Italy, so I basically know where are the regions situated, don't worry the thing I didn't realize is that it's SO warm in the North! It must be burning hot in the South As for us, it's common to have central heating so at home we feel good, surely, but if we have to go outside, it isn't very comfortable because your nose, your mouth... your whole face freezes. Fortunately most of the time the temperature is bearable and doesn't feel like that, -15C -10C are really OK !
And no it's not Siberia it's Moscow, the Central region of course you can get used to it! In Summer it's also hot here, for example this year we had +35-36C. In Siberia it's hot in Summer too
I can add that we wear very warm clothes in winter like tights with fleece and it helps us not to get cold

No, not yet unfortunately! But I know some people are from my city, maybe we will meet one day I'm happy for you two It was strictly prohibited to share personal information around those times but somehow many of us still managed to do it

I bet it's the same for most of the people, it's just a very popular topic for jokes like vodka, balalaika, babushka for us

And I had no idea that it would get so cold in Moscow, I knew it was cold but I thought -10ºC at most? Well good to know 😂

Yeah all that I can say is that we managed to keep in contact outside the forum without sharing personal information, I was very very cautious and scared at the time so I would have never shared anything private. After years we felt comfortable telling our real names etc but we were no longer kids in the Winx forum ☺️
