Mind you, I don't play any instruments  but I was 8-9 years old at the time, and my cousin (who's 15 years older than me) helped me pick out a name to sign up on the website. We had no idea what to choose, so I just picked "harpa" (harp in portuguese) because I liked this instrument's sound  It's kinda cringe, but it did grow on me /flowerpower/

Hahah this feels so mind-blowing! Even though I study music I didn't realize the connection between a harp and your username but now when you told this it feels so obvious    But I think it's so sweet to have a nickname based on your fav instrument!! /flowerpower/

My current nickname is pretty obvious: I love all kinds of horror stuff, Halloween and particularly the Hallowinx episode, and even more obviously I'm a winx fan so I just made a mixture of Hallowinx and a winxer :D My nickname in WA is Superpupu, which is my old username I had in the original website as a kid. My favorite animal as a kid was (and still is) a bunny, and "pupu" is a bunny in Finnish. And because I didn't want to be just an ordinary bunny and I used to draw comics about bunnies with super powers, I added the prefix Super to it

My name comes from Sailor Moon as well! Serenity is Usagi Tsukino's identity during the Silver Millennium. Also known as ''Princess Serenity'' or ''Neo-Queen Serenity'' in 30th century Crystal Tokyo.

I also like the name because it's an extention of the word ''serene'' or a play on the english name ''Serena'' which I've always liked zao_zao

But back than I used my real name in every username I had, cause I was so bad in creating a username  and was afraid I might hate it very fast and I could never go wrong with my own name, so my name with some numbers became my username.
But last year I started to feel very uncomfortable with using my own name. So I changed my username on a lot of sites but didn't know what to choose, so somehow I came up with this.

Crystal -> because I like crystals, gems ect and it gives me a bit of a magical vibe
Rose -> because Roses are my favorite flowers

Later I realised that this are also real names and people might think that this is my real name but that's not true. And now I am not sure how happy I am with it anymore, but can't change it :ehmeh:: I could create a new account but I would have to start all over again :(

People don't usually assume that those are real names online though. At least not in my experience, I've seen a lot of people using different names and pen names for writing/drawing, even if they are real names, if you like the name you chose, being a real name shouldnt stop you from using it :v

Oh that's good to know :)

I honestly never realized that harpa is the name of a musical instrument!
I thought it was just a cool made-up name. :hihi:

My nickname on the old Winx Club website was natasha_r, where Natasha is my real name, and the _r was added completely randomly (probably because the name natasha alone was already taken  )
Back then, I liked visiting foreign forums and chatting there . And one time I happened to join the chat of an Italian user. If I'm not mistaken, her nickname was lunettafatata. We started messaging from time to time, and she called me Naty. I had never heard that version of my name before, but I really liked it and started using it as my nickname. Later, it transformed into Natie. And now, most of my internet friends know me as Natie.

Actually, I like how at first glance it seems like it's just a short version of my name, but in reality, there's a deep connection to the Winx Club forum.

Oh I needed to use Google Translate too... what a days

It's rather strange and simple at the same time. From the first day I started using the Internet, I had an old nickname, Dyanchik. It was a cute and fun way to refer to my real name. But as I grew older, around the age of 12, I realized that it was kind of childish, so I decided to find a more "grown-up" nickname ASAP.

So I chose a shortened version of my name and added the word "Gun" because I had played Mass Effect and MC there had an alias called Alison Gunn. Soooo here I go, many years passed by, but nick is still the same :D
(and I don't even think that it's childish)

Oh cool, what matters is that you like your nickname, no matter if others perceive it childish or not, it's a nickname that matters to you, maybe you have good memories with it :) (Also cool outfit btw!)

DarkPinkie2024

DarkPinkie, remove spaces between Dark and Pinkie, it's my main oc's name. I named my OC after Pinkie Pie from My Little Pony, she was my favorite pony as a child, I wanted to be like her when I was younger. And the theme color pink. Also comes from my full user name Crystal Dark Pinkie, that's the title I used for my fanfic here. I finished episode 1 but it's in offsite i don't want to bother promoting it. working on ep2

2024 is the year where I registered this site
