Glad to hear it! It'd be so unfortunate if they were lost.
I recommend backing up those files somewhere if you haven't already, just in case.

The deletion of the old website is so tragic. So many things could've been at risk of becoming lost media if it weren't for places like the Internet Archive and the preservation efforts of sites like this. :// Hopefully we see some people migrate over from the old official forums, but who knows.

It really hurts to see Rainbow tear down everything the old fans had with this reboot, both with the actual reboot series itself and the website.

Yeah it feels like they don't care about what's important to us at all. If the fandom wasn't active enough to save the media, we would've lost everything.

If fandom wasn't still alive in general, it would be questionable if their reboot would even be popular like it is now on Netflix, just saying, they think new generation is watching it, but no, percentage is definitely high on older generation for a reason. Dang, if fandom died around season 6~8 and stopped buying merch, they would've been doing bad, but they always had fans, sadly they never seemed to respect older fans either...

In my opinion, they should've made a separated website for older versions of the website as a some sort of online museum or something like that, I know people would appreciate it for sure, because they couldve kept all the stuff that used to be on the website before, but oh well....

Absolutely. It's why I'm glad that communities like this exist, and that more awareness is being raised towards media preservation in general. It's good that we have what we do!

Speaking of, if possible, I highly recommend uploading the web avatar items to a website like the Spriter's Resource if anyone has all of them. That way, anyone can use them, and they stay around forever. There's a section for the old website on the site that I've contributed to already.

I know how to get images etc. from swf files, so if anyone has them and needs help, message me!

I always wanted to make a list of all official winx games, because they weren't only on winxlcub.com, we had bunch of official games on 4kids website and Nick website back then, before those were deleted too, you can somewhat find some of them scattered online, but I'm not sure if you can find everything, same goes for games that were on official website around 2004~2007, I think those are one of the very first official winx games as well

I believe some parts of the 4Kids mini-site are still accessible on the WayBack machine, but the flash files may not load. They are still downloadable though -- I downloaded the DDR/dance party SWF recently.

I know there's posibility finding photos and screenshots from the games, which would be good for preservation, if there's possibility finding their files/assets, of course that's a bit harder and not every file for each game is saved, so photos and screenshots would at least be enough

I just found the new web and... As Hallowinxer said, I think is ugly. First time I thought it was not loading properly, with al this white I also can't log in (and I'm not creating an account this time).

I saw that the web appears like in the 7th position in Google, when before this it was the first one. So, they are doing the seo thing wrong too Also, they haven't translated anything. How are supposed the non English speaking kids to navigate the web?

I believe from now I will work as hard as I can in this site

I wish I knew that and ripped the things from the old website, there's tons of stuff that is now missed wished I took the old bios of the girls and the ones they made during seasons 5~7 and the pop up ones, i wish I took things from the versions of that website in other languages, now even the languages are gone....
I'm helping on Fandom Wiki too, so that's why I wanted to save stuff, I knew the official website would change, but I didn't know that they would delete everything that was related to the original franchise....

Maybe the pages will appear on wayback machine, but most of the stuff will be broken because it'll miss images that website used to have....
