Well, while objectively not cold, I wasn't expecting temperature in Portugal going below 5°C, giving how mild the winter is (in pretty much whole Europe, if I remember correctly).

As everyone said - socks are indeed a good gift ^^

Hallowinxer wrote:Hi zao_zao I'm a bit late but I'm still wishing you a happy birthday! :cake: /flowerpower/ And the warm socks sound so good! Haha btw it's so funny to hear that it's so warm in your country during the winter! We had -13 degrees today in Finland but I'm so used to it that it almost feels like warm to me

I've been kinda inactive during December because of a large amount of school and work stuff but I've still been thinking about this site and waiting for a bit calmer moment to come back to write more. I also needed to leave my computer at a repartment point because its battery died and I needed to use my work computer which was so slow and made scrolling the forums annoying. Today I finally got my own computer back and now I'm able to break more records on minigames

I've been trying to figure out what I've missed while I was absent and I read that you finished your thesis! Congratulations, that's so awesome!! :ahhh: /flowerpower/ Also your earlier text about it made me so emotional when I realized how fast time goes and how long we've been here /flowerpower/

And also it was a wonderful surprise to see the web avatar when I came back because I've missed it so much!! /flowerpower/ I got so emotional when I heard the music because the same music was used in Gardenia Park back then. And when I saw the nostalgic clothes... /flowerpower/ I was able to re-create my avatar with the same style I had it back then and that made me so happy!! I just keep staring at all of these clothes and I'm in awe in_love_ I also loved the advent calendar and the Christmas clothes for avatar!

Hello! You're not late at all! /houra// Thank you so much for the birthday wishes, they're always welcomed! /flowerpower/

-13 degrees in Finland? I can’t even imagine calling that warm, but I guess it’s all about what you’re used to.

Over here, it’s been so-so, it's been cold but not agressively cold, a warm blanket or closed doors and windows are enough to warm the houses. :)

It’s great to see you back! /houra// Glad you’ve got your own computer back now, just in time for more web avatar clothes and minigames

Thank you so much for your kind words about my thesis. It really has been such a journey to be honest, a full year of this, two if you count the first draft back in my 1st year, and realizing how fast time flies... it’s wild. It feels like just yesterday I was beginning university and being amazed at everything.

I’m so happy you enjoyed the web avatar and all the nostalgic touches! :D I added the Gardenia Park music on purpose for that very reason, so hearing that it brought back so many good memories made all the work behind it so worth it.

I'm also recreating my old avatars all the time, minus the wings, so I can imagine how good it must feel. :)

Temperatures in Portugal, where I live at least, rarely drop below 5°C, but it does happen here and there, maybe about three times a year or so. The majority of the country is really fortunate because of its position. Despite being surrounded by the sea, we’re in a sweet spot where it’s not overly hot or cold most of the time. :D

We don’t experience extreme summer heat, except in the far south (and only sometimes), and winters aren’t too harsh either, apart from the very far north (and only sometimes too xD). I live in the north, but not too far from the center, so I’m lucky enough to avoid both ends of the extremes. It’s a nice balance, better than Finland. 8-)

Yeah, You do seem to be fortunate in the weather department. On the other hand, people in Finland can enjoy white christmas, winter activities and real cozing-up. Me, though, I got nothing of either, lucky me :D
So, how are things going?

Ok, you do have a point.
I only saw snow where I live twice in total and it was a MIRACLE both times, it lasted like five minutes each. When I was in 2nd grade and when I was in 6th grade, both times as a kid. It never happened again, not even remotely close to where I live. If I want to see snow, I have to drive for nearly 2 hours just to get to the far north and see it. :(

Things are going great! Looking for a job while working on two new languages for the website... that's been my whole days these last two weeks.

I really wish I could finish Winx Adventure too. The version Matiix built and I'm resuming really was extremely stable compared to the official version. I've been working on it as well and it really makes me sad that I can't fix several bugs. I really want to fix the login and account creation in-game to play with someone.

I have a lot freetime right now. If you need Beta-Tester for Winx Adventure..hmu 8-)

Interesting how different it is! In my childhood there was always a lot of snow and I loved it! But since global warming is going forward that drastically changed in 2012 or maybe bit later? Since then, seeing snow is so rare here. I miss it :ehmeh::

@All: What do you think is the best temperature for you? :)

Global warming is def. playing a part in all of it. I also feel like temperatures are warmer now compared to when I was a kid. I remember winters being harsher when I was younger, and summers weren't so... dry? Now, even though it's not alarming yet, I really feel warmer in winter and struggle sometimes with the heat in summer.

My ideal temperatures would be 13ºC for winter (I don't love cold but I cannot disassociate xmas with cold. There needs to be some sort of cold temperature  ) and around 27ºC for summer. It's not overly hot, but on a sunny day 27 is already amazing and pretty good for everyone in general. :)

I'll think about it for WA. 8-)

Definitely! It´s insane. The summers here are so weird. Some years ago it was really hot, nearly 40 degree and since two years or something you´re still wearing a jacket until late june. Last summer was weird. It rained a lot and was like mostly 20 degree :ehmeh::

Fair! I do too. But for me I really get this xmas feeling if it´s like 4 degree or less. The atmosphere is different then. 13 for me feels more like early spring :D

For summer I also prefer degree between 25-28.

I could live with temperature´s between 20-28 degree forever. In Germany the weather is mostly cold and grey and I have so much more motivation and power in the summer months.

The last sentence, I really feel it.

I hate gray days. I can find beauty in them in winter and all, but every other season it's just depressing for me. I really associate this website with sunny days. My childhood was a bit hard, especially due to my father, and this website, or the official old version  , was my refugee. I remember waking up, opening the windows and the sun shining on the entire room, either my mom's, the living room or my own bedroom, and I remember browsing the website, playing the mini-games, talking on the forum or just casually playing WA with the sun illuminating the whole place. Those are my "brightest" memories, really.

So far, ever since I released the website, I haven't yet been able to fully experience that. My current bedroom has no windows  and the days have been REALLY grey, even when it's sunny, it's not without clouds clouding the sun every few minutes. I really, really want to experience that bliss again of waking up and spending a day here, in Winx Adventure, talking to all of you and just feel the warmth of the sun on the entire room. It might take a while, but I'm confident it's coming eventually.

Thank you! It´s so interesting to see that such things as a forum is so memorizing for people and that you even know how the weather was like. I can´t remember at all.

I´m sorry to hear that you had some parts of your childhood that weren´t good. Thanks for your honesty. But it´s good that the website and Winx in general helped you!

To be honest, I really have to thank you with all my heart! Since some years I really have sleeping problems. Sometimes I sleep too much or too less because I overthink a lot. Since some weeks I check out the website reguarly, especially in the evening, put some winx music on and write in the forum. It calms me down so much and I´m just happy to be here and connect with you guys! I love the vibes here! We´re all connected to our love to Winx /flowerpower/

I like the way you´re describing it! I can picture it in my mind! I´d like to experience that too and to chat with all of you in real time. It´ll be awesome! We will get through the grey weather Juleic! We can do it and we gonna make the best out of it! //MWOMWO"
