Hello Winxers! Image
Feel free to chat with me here! You don't need to be ashamed of answering too late because sometimes I disappear for a while because of a huge amount of uni and work stuff but I wanted to make a topic where you can find me easily when I teleport myself back to the forum

I already wrote a longer introduction about myself on the Welcome section earlier so I try to keep it a bit shorter:
I was an active user of the original Winx Club website from 2009 (when there were minigames only), and also the versions with Gardenia Park and Winx Adventure. My nickname back then was Superpupu or Superpupu998 (which is in Finnish and means "super bunny") and I was active on the forum too, mostly on the Fun area.

I've been into Winx Club since I was 8 years old and now I'm 27  /flowerpower/ Winx Club and winxclubonline have been a huge and important part of my childhood and they're still super important to me!!

Fun facts:
- I enjoy listening to the web avatar music while writing on the forums because it makes me feel like I was in Gardenia Park again
- I love horror movies and books but I get scared really easily: almost always when I sit in the classroom and my teacher suddenly opens the door, I freak out and start to scream
- my favorite Winx is Stella even though I'm more like Flora and Musa
- I'd love to attend to the Cloudtower
- I love music (classical music, metal, pop, gothic, electroaucustic, contemporary, folkish...), books, movies, series, manga, anime, board games and nintendo ds games. I'm into horror and fantasy stuff (and good teenager drama  )!
- I'm from Finland but I don't like salmiakki (salty liquorice, a typical Finnish candy) at all!
- I'm not good at maths but I like counting games on the forum...

Hi zao_zao
So what's your field of study at uni?
From the handful of Finnish people that I've know, none of them liked salmiakki, so You are making me wonder how many Finnish people actually like it? And on unrelated note - what's up with sweet herring?

Hi! zao_zao I'm studying music theory (and classical music) at the university and also music theory pedagogy at another university of applied sciences so I'll become a music theory teacher and a music theorist (actually I already work as a teacher even though I haven't graduated yet :geek: ) In the future I'd love to teach and also attend to some music theory conferences and do my own research on music!

What about you? What have you studied or are you studying atm? :D

But wow, almost all of my Finnish friends love salmiakki but it's kinda relief to hear I'm not the only one who doesn't :o  I'm a vegetarian so I don't eat fish but even though I wasn't, I'm quite sure I wouldn't like sweet herring because the smell is already suspicious  At least when I was a kid I didn't even want to taste it.

Oh wow that's really impressive! What brought You to the field of music theory? I know that in some teaching trainings they require students to get teaching practice as a part of study course. Is that your case, or do You teach on top it all?

I've M.Sc. in archaeology, but no, I don't currently work in the field. :/ Last year I've did post-grad courses in conservation, and I would really want to pursue that bit more, and go further with archaeology too, but no clear plans yet.

 I know at least three other Finnish people not in love with licorish, so not many, but yeah, You're not the only one ;)
Ok, so it's a real thing! My friend studied on Finland and told me it was something she came across and it scared her to her core. So I wondered if sweet fish was some rare oddity from that one place, but from your response I assume it is not :ahhh:

Thank you /flowerpower/ I started having piano lessons in a music institute when I was a kid and music theory lessons are part of music studies in Finland. I liked music theory classes already as a kid and when I learned more I realized they make me understand music better. I'm curious to find out why I like certain kind of music and what parameters in the music make me feel different emotions, and in music theory we are finding these kind of things out so it feels like psychology of music!

In music field it's typical to have a job even before you graduate so some teachers ask us to teach as a substitutes while they're sick and many of us have also private students. Some of my students were part of my pedagogue studies but soon I got asked to work as a teacher substitute also outside of the school and started to get paid. I was doing these short-time jobs whenever I was asked to and managed to get a one year contract.

Archaeology sounds super interesting!! :ahhh: What were the studies like and what kind of courses did you have?

Haha I really understand your friend  Unfortunately it seems to be a really common dish and my cousins and grandma eat it on celebrations  I prefer chocolate whenever I'm celebrating something

I'm good, atm super tired but luckily I have a short vacation from uni next week (I still need to write my thesis and do school stuff but at least I can sleep longer in the mornings  )

Have you tried any other Kiko games? I have re-found 3 other which I used to play as a kid
