Honestly, I'm not sure. I only ever write fanfic nowadays but maybe...? I can't remember anything about what I used to write in the past, except I distinctly remember writing about a village girl who falls in love with a phantom? or a man in a mask,,, hm

I think, in a way it's good. Because I got too used to slang and have felt my vocabulary has been deteriorating over the years. 🫠 I think (?) I used to be more articulate. But now it's all downhill 🤣

Tbh I think it'll be a good outlet. You can try something you wanted to experiment with and see how it turns out. Anything comes to mind?

No, I think that was around the time the old forums shut down, so I could never finish it... But what baffles me is how I had the time to write 3-4 ongoing stories at the same time

Yes, def. Ofc you must! I don't have any braincells atm so don't think I'm making one. I did make a silly game in Fun area which is very roleplayesque because I missed it :') but it has no plot, just a continuation game so no think just do

I forgot them all! I used to have maybe 2 or 3(??) stories that I was writing there. Didn't make it past chapter 3. (I called it the 3rd chapter curse. )

DUDEE. If you did become a wattpad success you could have had a movie adaptation rn and it'd be a million times better than all those Harry fanfic adaptations lately 😭👋
Also, I just watched a kmovie yesterday (which I thought was a drama. I should have read properly) and it was SO cliché in a bad way. Like someone took all the possible kdrama clichés and made a purèe with them.
(Spoiler alert for onlookers⚠️movie plot coming up 📢 tho you should not even watch it. It's not worth it)

Guy has a heart disease, girl has amnesia that resets everyday so she forgets the day before. (Resets to the day after "the incident" the incident is never explained). 😔 her bestie kinda protects her throughout but for some reason she's surviving just fine because she journals intensely everyday the night before. But gets amnesia again the next day! as if the amnesia trope wasn't enoughhh they really made it a quadruple attack
They fall in love yadayada we somehow acquire a friend group randomly. All is well...for now.
And whaddaya know, the guy dies! huuihhhh???????? Her friends decide by THEMSELVES to remove any trace of his memory from her life, so all their photos, messages, gifts, everything and she forgets him. But she somehow magically starts remembering him by the end of the movie ✋🏼😭 what was the point??? Why did I watch it? What even was that 😔😔😔😔✋🏼
So considering they could spend a gazillion on making a movie like this (the main actor is p famous I'd say).
I'm certain even 14 year old harmony's wattpad stories are probably better.

I can't picture myself making one from scratch, so I'll leave that up to our trusty Lara (and of course, we'll help her if she needs people to bounce ideas with) I saw that you'd left replies on a lot of posts in the Fun Area, and now I wonder if you were this active there back then too? :0

The three chapter curse sounds so relatable, because I only get past the character sheets and maybe a prologue and then I call it a day... except I call it a day forever

PFFFFT. Oh dear me, that sounds stressful and terrible. It also... distinctly sounds like a popular Nicholas Sparks movie... [squints]

The amnesia trope is probably my least favourite, and I really dislike how it's used to prove how love is fated. It's not even a proper plot device. Even in the manga/manhwa I read, there are so many amnesia AUs where Person A only forgets Person B, but the power of love is so incredible that they fall in love all over again and THEN their memories return. And it's extra stressful because you get through the main story, celebrating their love, only to lose it all afterward

But back to that movie you watched... It sounds a bit cruel of them to scrub all traces of the guy from her life. Surely, they could've asked her beforehand? Or not... either way, she deserves to know who she loved, even if their love story was only temporary...

(Yussss ofc!) And nooo I'm just extra jobless lately. I had a few days off and kind of ended up wasting time here instead of instagram. Pfftt. Back then I was a chatta girl all the way and had just one roleplay I was passionate about. I think you were mostly in the RP zone though? :3 I remember a RWBY one I once joined w ya'll.

pffft that's so accurate! It's much more fun making characters and doing the world building. 😆 One of my friend who was supposed to start her first chapter ended up instead making a world map for a week straight with all the details of the regions and traditions! And even food??!?!? I still find it hilarious.

Aaa don't even get me started. I hate when it's all forced as a fated encounter. No! I wanna see it build up bit by bit. Whatever else is the point? I can never take amnesia stuff seriously unless they end up in an entirely new place with a new identity 😆🤪 at least that way there's some new things to explore. Esp when it's like a historical mortal enemies plot so cliché but so fun when done well.

Ugh yes. It was dumb because nobody even considered what she would have wanted. That's completely unfair to her especially when she's already at a vulnerable position every day because of her issue. ×_× it was overall so underwhelming and poorly developed that I didn't even feel bad for any of them by the end of the show because I was too busy being ANGRY and annoyed!
I felt like the movie writers really tried to recreate what 2017 kdramas had been doing but since it was a movie, and also just poorly written (no strong character development, we barely know what her relationship with her parents is like. They're like guest stars tbfh. The dialog is also cliché and repetitive, v wannabe emotional and deep) it falls extremely flat. it didn't help either that it had the actor that I liked lelel wasted potential.
