Yeah, I understand the Portuguese editions here being more expensive, because publishing houses have to buy the rights and have translation costs, etc. But I never thought the English ones would be more expensive there! :o

Probably it is because books in the original are sometimes shipped from the abroad and it is more expensive there, but I don't know

When translated books are always either longer or shorter so in certain countries they are cheaper then the original press and in some they are more expensive because it's more costly to make and print them. That is the reason why that happens if I remember correctly

That seems about right! In Portuguese, sentences tend to get longer, so the books are longer. And maybe they also cost more because of the printing as well. :?

It's a Christmas book, but I couldn't wait  It was released last month.

Noooow, I do have a Halloween inspired tbr (to be read). Who wants so see it? 8-)

Soooo, I finished this a week ago and loved it! in_love_ It was such a cute story about some really anticipated characters (Annie and Mac). A true enemies to lovers. The series just gets better with each book!

→ Carmilla, by J. Sheridan Le Fanu

→ Breaking Dawn, by Stephenie Meyer

→ Dracula, by Bram Stoker

→ These Witches Don't Burn, by Isabel Sterling

Now, I won't be able to read all these books until the end of the month, but I'll pick some options. And it also serves as a recommendation list! I haven't read them yet, so I can't really recommend them  but maybe you'll find something here you'll enjoy! 🖤

And last Saturday, I started one of these books for Halloween season. Can you guess which one it was? 8-)

Just scroll a bit more 8-)

Just a bit more 8-)

Okay, that's enough

I started reading Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer. //MWOMWO" I've been reading one Twilight book a year and this year it's this one. Next year it'll be Midnight Sun, the last one (technically, the last one is Breaking Dawn; Middnight Sun is Twilight (book 1) but from Edward's POV).

I'm actually really proud of myself for reading this one as fast as I am currently reading it.

Reading update

I'm currently taking a break from my Halloween list and I'm reading this fall book:

    Image

I probably won't be able to read many more of that list, but I really wanna get into Road Trip With a Vampire this weekend. :) And maybe Carmilla and The Raven, since those are smaller books, I don't think they're even 100 pages long!

Also, since this year marks the 20th anniversary for the Twilight book release, there were published some special editions and they're so beautiful  /flowerpower/

The first one is the most simply, but still beautiful and traditional:

It's the cover we all know and love, but with these beautiful sprayed edges!

The second one is this book set. These cover are just stunning! in_love_

And the prettiest of them all   this floral cover:

It comes with this box shaped sleeve, the book comes inside. And when you open it, it also has sprayed edges. If you turn them to one side, you see Bella, and if you turn it to the other, you see Edward in_love_

Which one's your favourite? /flowerpower/
