| New Launcher + Mac release! |
Hi everybody!
We’re excited to announce that Winx Adventure now has a brand-new launcher! We advise you to uninstall Winx Adventure from your computers and re-install it again, but if you don't, you'll still be able to get updates on the outdated launcher!
The new launcher comes with several improvements:
- • Ability to repair files by re-downloading the game in case of anomalies.
- • Pause and resume your update downloads at any time.
- • Multi-language support built directly into the launcher.
- • A larger, more stable launcher window with a better design.
And that’s not all — support for Mac has arrived!
Since we don’t have an official Apple license yet, the installation process is a little different, but you can still get it working by following these steps:
How to open the game on Mac:
Download the .zip file from the URL on "Featured" and unzip it. You’ll now see the application WinxAdventureGameMac.
Open Terminal and go inside the application’s folder with this command:
cd ~/Desktop/WinxAdventureGameMac.app/Contents/MacOS/
(Adjust the path if your app is in a different folder, like Downloads instead of Desktop.)
Give the game file permission to run by typing:
chmod +x WinxAdventureGameMac
Start the game with:
./WinxAdventureGameMac
The first time you try to open it, macOS will show a warning that the app is from an unidentified developer. Just click “Close”.
Go to System Settings → Privacy and Security. Under the message about WinxAdventureGameMac, click “Allow Anyway”.
Run the game again in Terminal:
./WinxAdventureGameMac
The very first launch may get stuck on the loading screen. If that happens, close the game window, return to Terminal, and run the same command again:
./WinxAdventureGameMac
After this, the game should start normally every time.
