Hi Winx Adventurers,
Winx Adventure is getting a major upgrade!
We’re excited to share some big behind-the-scenes changes that will make Winx Adventure even better moving forward!
Big engine upgrade — Unity migration!
We have officially migrated Winx Adventure from Unity 5.6.3 to Unity 2022.3.62f1!
This is a huge step forward for the game’s stability, performance, and future development. With this newer Unity version, we can do more, optimize better, and plan bigger improvements going forward.
What this unlocks for the future
This upgrade opens the door for many new possibilities, including:
• More advanced effects (better visuals, smoother animations, and improved VFX)
• More ambitious future areas (new environments, features, and content that weren’t possible before)
• Mobile adaptation potential in the future (this is a long-term goal, but this upgrade is a key step toward it)
A quick note about the launcher and the game:
Because of the Unity migration, we created a brand-new launcher built specifically to support the new version. The old one will no longer work due to the new additions required by Unity (e.g. the new crashlog files)
This means:
• Windows and macOS users must uninstall the current launcher/game
• Then re-install using the new launcher to fully enjoy the upgrade and ensure everything works correctly
This fresh install is required for the updated engine files to be applied properly — it’s the best way to avoid errors and missing data.
Your progress is safe!
- All accounts remain intact.
- Items, outfits, and progress will not be lost — everything carries over after reinstalling.
