Spring in bloom!

Hello,

It's Flora, your garden fairy, and I’m so happy to be with you to celebrate spring, which has already been here for a month. All around me, the plants are dancing, the trees are dressing in tender green, and the air is filled with the promises of renewal.

Spring: A season to sow with the heart

Spring is the perfect time to start a little garden, even if you only have a windowsill or a few pots. Seeds are like little dreams: you just have to plant them with love for them to transform into wonders.

My planting tips for an enchanted garden
Here are a few easy-to-grow plants, magical to observe, and perfect for beginner gardeners or budding fairies:

1. Nasturtium (Tropaeolum majus)
Why? It grows quickly, attracts pollinators, and its flowers are edible!
Where to plant it? In a pot or directly in the soil, in full sunlight.
Tip: Leave some space between the seeds (10-15 cm) and only water when the soil is dry: it doesn't like wet feet.

2. Lavender
Why? Its scent is soothing and it naturally repels some insects.
Where to plant it? In a pot or directly in the soil, always in full sunlight.
Tip: Mix some sand with the soil for good drainage. And don't forget to talk to it: it loves sweet words.

3. Magic basil
Why? Perfect for small spaces and delicious recipes.
Where to plant it? In a pot on a balcony or in a sunny indoor spot.
Tip: Pinch the top stems to encourage the plant to grow fuller. And always keep some room temperature water nearby.

Bonus: Create a mini enchanted garden in 3 steps
Even with little space, you can create a small magical corner of nature:

  1. Choose 3 plants: one that climbs (like ivy), one that flowers (like pansy), and one that smells (like mint).
  2. Use a large pot or a recycled box as the container. Drill a few holes in the bottom.
  3. Add a magical decoration: a small painted stone, a fairy figurine, or a sign with your gardening name.

Gardening is slow magic
You’ll see… planting a seed is a bit like casting a spell of patience and love. You don’t see the effects right away, but one morning, a fine stem will emerge from the soil, and you’ll know: the magic has worked!
Take the time to observe, write, and dream. Nature is never in a hurry, yet it always accomplishes its mission.

This spring, I invite you to connect with the earth, the water, and the light. To sow, not only plants but also intentions, kindness, and a little bit of yourself in each pot.
And don’t forget: you don’t need to be a fairy like me to grow beauty... just an attentive heart.
