Post-Halloween Clean-up!
Halloween is over, everyone! The costumes are coming off, the decorations are coming down, and there's probably still a mountain of sweets somewhere in your room. But before we say goodbye to the spooky season, there's one last adventure waiting for us!

I know cleaning up doesn't sound nearly as exciting as a Halloween party, but trust me, a little effort can make a big difference for our planet.

Give Those Pumpkins a Second Life!
Remember those pumpkins we spent so much time decorating? They don't have to go straight into the rubbish!

If you've got a fresh, edible pumpkin that was kept clean and stored safely, you can turn it into something delicious, like pumpkin soup, muffins or roasted seeds. Who says Halloween treats have to end on October 31st?

As for pumpkins that have already started going bad, composting is a great way to return their nutrients to the soil. Just remember to remove any candles or decorations first!

And please don't leave old pumpkins in forests for wild animals. Mouldy pumpkins and unfamiliar foods can make some creatures sick.

Decorations Deserve Another Halloween!
Before throwing away those spooky decorations, take a second look!

Plastic spiders, paper bats, fairy lights and even those silly skeletons can often be cleaned, packed away and used again next year.

If something is still in good condition but you don't want it anymore, why not give it to a friend? One fairy's unwanted decoration might be another fairy's Halloween treasure!

Your Costume's Next Adventure
Just because Halloween is finished doesn't mean your costume's story has to end!

Witch hats, fairy wings, capes and colourful accessories can all be saved for another celebration or transformed into something completely new.

You could even organise a costume swap with your friends next year! It's a fun way to try a different look without having to buy everything again.

Careful with the Litter!
Now, here's something I really care about! Sweet wrappers, plastic decorations and leftover party rubbish can easily find their way into parks, rivers and oceans if we're not careful.

Growing up on Andros taught me just how precious water and marine life are. The last thing we want is for our Halloween celebrations to leave a mess behind for animals to deal with!

So gather up those wrappers, sort whatever can be recycled according to your local rules, and make sure nothing gets left outdoors.

One Last Halloween Challenge!
Before you put Halloween behind you, here's my challenge: find three things from this year's celebration that you can reuse, repair or give away instead of throwing out.

It might seem small, but it helps a ton!
