1. What inspired you to write your winning poem?
Without a doubt, I was most inspired by this website and meeting up with old friends on the forum here!
2. How did you come up with the theme for your poem?
From the very beginning, I knew I wanted to write a poem related to Winx. But I wanted to write something special that would be in tune with the Christmas season and warm the hearts of all the users here. So, in the end, the poem turned out to be about this Winx website with a touch of nostalgia and coziness. In a way, it's not just a poem but also my heartfelt message to all the users.
3. What does Christmas mean to you personally?
I usually don't celebrate Christmas, but I think for me, as it is for everyone, this whole festive season is a special time to reflect on things, spend time with loved ones and gather strength for the upcoming year.
4. Did you face any challenges while writing your poem?
I've never really written poems before, so there were a lot of challenges... Especially with the "technical" side of things. Finding the right rhymes and all that stuff wasn't easy. I spent a whole week working on my poem, and although it's far from perfect, it seems I managed to overcome all the challenges quite well. I'm happy and grateful that my work was so highly appreciated in the end!
5. What do you think makes a poem stand out in a contest like this?
Maybe it's the balance between form and content?
6. Do you have any tips for fellow poets or those who want to try writing?
Well, I'm a newbie in poetry myself, so I just recommend not being afraid and having fun!
7. What are your hobbies apart from writing?
I enjoy drawing and taking photos.
8. How do you usually celebrate the holiday season?
I usually spend this time at home with my family, nothing special. :)
9. If you could dedicate your poem to someone, who would it be and why?
I dedicate this poem to all the users of this website, OnlineWinxClub.com! I hope my poem inspires everyone to visit the site more often so we can create many more happy moments together there!
