It has an NVIDIA RTX 5080 8GB RAM, 32GB RAM and came with a 512GB SSD, which I’ve already expanded to 2TB by adding my old SSDs from the old computer.

It’s basically a very modern medium-high end laptop which is able to run all AAA games in high to ultra quality (honestly just high-end now with the extra storage), render videos in After Effects at incredible speeds, the screen is fully designed for people that might work with design (144 fps, 1440 quality, 100% sRG with an IPS panel), and it should last me way longer. I got it for 1199,99€, which was already a big discount from 1499,99€. I explained to my parents in detail why it was the best balance between quality and price, especially since some 1599€ or even 1799€ models were actually worse spec-wise. They ended up making the sacrifice even though their initial budget was around 950€ /flowerpower/

:ahhh: congrats
Is it really so cheap?! You're lucky! Here at my place this graphics card is 1200€ alone

@juleic- glad to hear You've managed to get new laptop. What brand model is it? And also do give a review 6 months in, I'm curious how it will do long terms.

Also, as much as I understand how bad it is to have your train of thoughts derailed, maybe You should keep something of the breaks too ;)

@Blomady - 1100 euros is no nothing, I'd say it's good money, but yeah money rn doesn't make sense. And yeah, GPUs, and even CPUs are now incredibly pricey... (ai ay... :cloud: ).

It's a Lenovo LOQ, it was the best price for what it was offering. I heard some things about it, like the early 2024 batch of the PCs came with motherboard issues, but it seems lenovo released new batches in august 2024 and in a few other dates to fix this issue. I got the october 2025 batch, the very last round of laptops they did, which Lenovo claims it's fixed, so I'm hopeful I won't have these issues. Plus so far it's been running incredibly well, people usually experience motherboard issues right away when they complain or have windows errors but so far, so good! :happycopains_:
Either way I have warranty for 3 years, so I should be covered for a while! :happycopains_:

And you're right! I found myself stopping a bit more actually. I returned to trying to finish the code first before pausing, BUT I will say, breaks have been significantly longer.
