Very happy to announce a list of several optimizations and updates coming to Winx Adventure very, very soon!

Here are the list of fixes and updates done so far since the last update:

Brand new group:
Specialists will be arriving next update! New clothing items and a brand new registration with Saladin will be available at the start of the game!

2 brand new character slots:
2 more slots, making 4 total, will be available with their release! Create up to four characters in a single account and choose the group of your choosing! Each character gives 50 daily WX, so you can get 200 WX if you have 4 characters daily!

Brand new settings:
A whole new settings UI is coming next update too, with a bunch of brand new options and customization for your adventure. You'll be able to choose multiple different windows sizes, including exclusive and windowed fullscreen, change the overall game volume from mute to 100% or just touch the music or sound effects individually! You can also customize the time of day in Gardenia and other areas and choose if you want day or night time, or automatic!

Brand new multiplayer:
The multiplayer system was redone from scratch yet again to make things smoother and less snappy. The entire system changed from a simple database reading to a UDP system, allowing for much more smoothness. Players should now be much more faithful and have less visual bugs starting next update!

Brand new decorator:
The entire decorator system was reworked to make it faster and smoother too. Deleting furnitures will now be faster, players will not miss a single change done in your room anymore and a lot of new tiny tweaks were done to improve your experience, including rotating the tables with the objects on top following that rotation. Aditionally, moving a table keeps the objects also on top! The room settings also stopped being called just "Settings" and is now called "Bedroom Settings" to ensure the normal settings aren't mixed up with the bedroom ones!

Return of keyboard WASD movement:
If people were around in early December of last year, you may have remembered Winx Adventure added WASD keys to move and SHIFT to toggle the run/walk movement. Unfortunately, this only lasted a few days and was immediately removed the next version because the multiplayer would break massively and show the characters stuck in a loop or falling forever down the map. This issue has been fixed and the return of Keyboard is coming next update too!

Textures upscaled & new reflections and skyboxes:
This next update also brings all buildings and several ground textures upscaled for a less pixalized look and a much sharper look. Brand new skyboxes done from the sky of the actual show were added to Gardenia and they change between day and night. Aditionally, the pond water was changed to show reflections of everything, giving the water an amazing new look!

Other fixes include...
 The Bloom Hallowinx Outfit is finally fixed and I apologize for the delay!
 Disconnecting from the game, starting next update, will be instantaneous. Before, players could take up to 30 seconds to disappear. Now, the moment you close the game or exit to the main menu, you'll be disconnected!
 Players no longer hover on the floor
 If, somehow, a furniture is invalid and placed in the bedroom, you will now be able to activate the button to move the furniture again and place it in a valid location. Closing and opening the decorator still works as an alternative to fix the room, however. /flowerpower/

THE CODING BEAST HAS DONE IT AGAIN!! Thank you so much /houra// /flowerpower/
Btw did you and the rest of the staff already decided how we would choose our powers? I remember it being a question during the character creation in the original game, and since we've all sort of created game avatars already... Perhaps we could go speak to Farangonda once everything is settled? I know you'll let us know in time but i'm curious 👉👈 have a nice dayyy

I'm not a mod, nor am I claiming to be one in any shape or form, so I cant say anything officially. These are guesses based on my vague and possibly wrong recollections when GoC was still up and running!

I played way back in middle school days (and learned I was a fire fairy) and I do remember being asked a question that was somewhat related to our powers. If I recall right (and I'm uncertain about this as it's been ages), I think it was something like "how do you spend your free time" and I think the options (which I'm sure helped pin which power we had but I'm not fully sure on this either) were: Outdoors (nature fairy), inside (light fairy), or both (fire fairy).

I'm very curious about this as well, as I'd like to get the right powers for the right characters (except Harmony, as she's a spare character).

Personally, I think it'd be intresting if you got asked like 5 questions and each awnser represented the elements of light, nature, and fire. If two elements tie you get asked a 6th question as a tie breaker with the two tied elements. So, like say nature and fire tied with two questions each and light had one, you'd get asked the tie breaker question and the choices for the awnser would be either nature or fire.

At the end, it tells you which one you got. If you dont like the result, you can redo it or choose your element.

Heyy! It wouldn't be a bad idea, but personally i'd be more inclined to get to choose my powers directly. :D
It would be in a while though. That being said, you were among the lucky ones! I've always wanted fire since I used to be a huge Bloom fan. I kept getting Nature and Light (only once tho), It hadn't crossed me which question gave us powers back then! Very interesting the questions you guys had. In the french version of the game, we were asked what our hobby was between: Staring at pretty LIGHTS, Spending time in NATURE, or by a FIREPLACE. Because everyone wanted to be a real-life fairy, I remember noticing most of us ending up becoming nature fairies

Hello! zao_zao

Yes! The official version had the question for the powers since even beta was released, it was the following:
"By the way, which of these activities do you like the most?"

"Get cozy beside a warm FIRE"
"Getting close to NATURE"
"staring at a pretty LIGHT"

The caps in the english version made it seem very easy to know which power you would have even before Garden of Charmix was a thing... the problem is that a lot of people behind the translation to other languages didn't know what this question represented and it would have any impact most likely. Because the portuguese version, the spanish and even the italian one had it without the capslock on the powers, and it also was adapted. These replies in portuguese would be:
"Get comfortable near a fireplace"
"Have fun in fields"
"Spend time in the sun"

This was heavily adapted and I was so frustrated as a kid because I made 4 accounts and never got to see light. I always picked nature and once fire because I just had indication of what would give our powers. //EHDOHEH/

With this being said, the new version will actually be through a quizz that you'll be able to make in Garden of Charmix. It will be level "0". At the end of the quizz done by each of your teachers, you can confirm and accept or choose yourself your power. /flowerpower/

I remember being so gutted back then because I made my Solariap account in like december 2010... GOC released a year later. We had no clue how impactful our registration would be. :(

It's very funny to me how we almost went through the same pain but you for light and me for fire! I remember so many players would tell me how lucky I was to have a light character, but I couldn't appreciate it for the love of me. And yes, very ironic that the official developers thought about their player base, but not enough to truly understand how they would think, and the frustration that could follow. Especially if you created an account early as you mentioned (with a character you already like, maybe spent money on, and that is hogging a name you like and can't re-use) :ehmeh::
Anyway, Akane was right then! Thank you for planning on letting us choose in the end /flowerpower/

I was actually right about something!? :o Jokes aside-

Ooooh! Neat! I like that we can choose if we didnt get the one we wanted, it's always nice when they do that.

Thanks again for confirming this for us @juleic1123!

To be honest it's 100% understandable why you mixed the questions. The indoors, outdoors, a little bit of both was removed. That was originally the question to choose the skin color. I personally thought it doesn't make a lot of sense and locking skin color changes behind RCs back then and even limiting the colors you could pick was a bit... :ehmeh::

So I changed that question for the current "which realm do you feel most at home in?" to give more choices and make the skin color changes work without the question being a little weird I think. /flowerpower/

Ooooooooooooooh, so THAT'S where those questions came from. I thoguht it was just for the powers segment. Man, I must have a messy memory. lmao.

It feels so weird to ask that for your SKIN tone. Like, you could be outdoors all the time and still have light skin. Glad that's not a thing anymore, and we can choose it from the shops, makes it so much easier

Not sure if this counts, but I was wondering if and when we'd be able to have rugs overlap like in this image: https://www.deviantart.com/stash/0ic2ctat1jd

I have a video uploaded that kinda goes with the above statement, but also a question: will the rugs/carpets eventually have smaller boxes so we can add them in as desired? I wanted to put the heart rug in the corner, but the box for it is too big so I cant. And another question I have, when do you think we can put the small lamps and other small objects on top of the dressers and other places, like the bookshelves?

Hello! :D
Unfortunately rugs can't overlap because they still have colliders (so the game is aware where the floor is). Colliders can't really touch each other to prevent bugs, like buttons on top of each other or even making the terrain have a "step-up" and acting like a wall you can't walk over. I don't think I'll change this system, even though in theory I can, because then the potential bug reports about "I wanted to delete X rug but Z was deleted instead" will increase a lot, the chances of the wrong rug being selected will be quite high, since it's the colliders doing it. :ehmeh::

As for rugs being smaller, yes, in theory there will be more rugs with smaller sizes. :happycopains_:

Finally, for the wardrobes/bookshelves, the answer is unfortunately no. At least not for now. The tables are ideal because they were done already considering their surface area in mind and have a clear minimum and maximum height. So the lamps, electronics and plants just check the collider between the minimum and maximum values and, if they're within the valid coordinates, places it on top. This isn't the case for wardrobes or closets, that can have different sizes and different surface width. I can in theory make it work by trying to make the fetch for surfaces more global, as I have done before. But I got a lot of bugs out of that attempt and even ended up with furniture snapping either below or above the room, so it's something that might take longer and is not a priority right now. However, I will try again eventually. I understand the appeal. :) /flowerpower/

Just a last little note: bookshelves will probably still not get any furnitures on top. Because again, the furniture itself is a single 3D item. The colliders make it so that the electronics, lamps and plants do not clip the furniture below but instead hover very very close to the surface of it. Furnitures simply cannot touch each other for the buttons to not break. So it's possible you'll be able to get furnitures on top of tiny wardrobes eventually, but not big bookshelves like the purple one you have there.
