I joined the site in late 2010 and never saw it (I didn't even know that it existed), but I saw something in the web archive. I'm not sure that this is what you're both talking about though.
I met a close friend there too! We were chatting about everything almost every day for 8 years. I definitely considered her my best friend during all those years. But sadly, even though we lived pretty close to each other, we were too young to meet in person. Then I moved to another city, and university life along with other interests took over, so we lost touch in 2020. I sent her the first message in 4 years a week ago, but she hasn't read it yet. Maybe I'll try to write another one later.
Actually, I remember mariposaa too! We may have just exchanged greetings somewhere and nothing more, but I definitely remember seeing her orange nickname.

Honestly, everything Winx Club related is a comfort zone for me now. I don’t think I’ll ever stop returning to it.
In fact, so much in my life is rooted deeply in Winx Club (especially in the forum): my hobbies, my nickname, my degree, and even my current profession... I'm not sure I would be a completely different person if it weren't for Winx, but many things would certainly not be the same.
I'm pretty sure we are talking about the old old official forum haha. It looked slightly different too in terms of colors and some other few stuff. The whole website changed, including the forum. I tried to look on the wayback machine, but it only went back to 2012. And that was way before that. Oh well haha.

Awh, Im sad you didnt get to meet your best friend. I still have two friends from here Ive yet to meet. Were all adults, but lives way too far from each other. Omg I just realized, I have met two other girls I met here on winx. They were actually from my country. I met especially one of them a few times, had sleepovers. It was so much fun. But life happaned, so we arent as close anymore. We still follow each other on social media tho. ^^

Yeahh, Im pretty sure most people know mariposaa one way or another haha. She was there a lot! We were best friends and I still miss her a lot. We never said goodbye, and it was from her part. I never knew why. At least Alex did say goodbye before cutting contact. I just hope wherever they are, they're both happy.
