But I think I’ll go to bed soon because tomorrow I have to get up early for work 😵‍💫
What about you?

No, I haven't :( Is it good?
What's your occupation if not a secret? :)
I'm playing with some friends via Discord /flowerpower/

It’s really really chaotic - it’s couples who get divided with many single people who “tempt” them into cheating 😅
By the way, I handle air shipments
How about you, if it’s not a secret? ☺️

I think I'll try it later maybe :) nice language practice
Sounds cool :ahhh: is it connected to logistics?
I'm a linguist by profession, but I mostly work as a logistics/procurement specialist. I'm unemployed at the moment because I could no longer bear my work and decided to resign, so right now I'm fully relaxing and coming to my senses :D

Hiii

yes, my job is in the logistics. we organize shipments to and from Italy, worldwide, both air and sea shipments actually ☺️

I also have a bachelor degree in translation - I studied English and Russian. unfortunately where I live there aren't many options to work in the linguistic field, that's why I opted for logistics

enjoy your time off, I envy you so much for being freeee 😍

We are colleagues in some way then :D

I'm surprised to hear that you studied Russian haha was it your personal choice?
Same for me here, there are also not many options to work in this field unfortunately

Thanks  but I'm looking for a new job anyway bc I need money haha

We totally are 🥰

Yes it was my choice and I really liked it, but now I haven’t practiced it for two years and I mostly lost it ):

Of course yeah working will be necessary eventually since money is so important 😂 but enjoy your time and relax since you were having a hard time at your workplace. Mental health always comes first!

Where are you from, if it’s ok to ask?

Nice in_love_

Glad to hear that because, accidentally, Russian is my mother tongue  And I studied Italian in university. We have very much in common I should say  is there some way I could refresh your memories of Russian if you'd like to?

You're right! It's just that bad habit to work 24/7 and the sense of guilt if you don't, but it's a rather harmful mentality, hopefully we'll finally get rid of it :( Surely it doesn't work if you have no one to rely on, but at least you shouldn't feel guilty if you need some time to pull yourself together even with the parents' help

I'm from Russia :) /flowerpower/ and you're from Italy right? :)

It’s crazy that we have so much in common, really! What a coincidence 😳
I didn’t even know that studying Italian outside Italy was a thing, but it’s cool! How did you like it? ☺️

Yes, it would be cool to chat in Russian sometimes, so that I can practice it a bit ☺️ I’m sure I will end up using some translator but still, it’s something 😂 I should come to the Russian forum as well 😁 I didn’t even realize that Winx were a big deal in Russia but I noticed quite a few Russian members in this forum alone, that’s great!

About working, I totally get you. Unfortunately/luckily I have a role for which I’m required to take responsibilities and handle many different things - it’s fulfilling but also really really stressing, and I often find myself thinking about work stuff when I’m home and should be relaxing. It kinda sucks and I wish I could take it more lightheartedly
I guess maybe it was the same for you? Anyway, you made the right decision prioritizing your mental health, it can be draining otherwise

Sorry for boring you with my work-related stuff, I promise I’m not always so heavy 😅 let’s talk about something better: I’m getting pizza!🍕 Of course yes, I’m from Italy 😂

 life is unpredictable!
Yeeah, it was my dream to learn Italian since childhood because I loved winx and aspired to learn the language to watch the series in original. When I entered my uni, I didn't choose anything, Italian chose me by itself  In a nutshell, if you study for free (in my country if you pass the exams very well, you don't pay for education and study for free, in other words it's budget-funded), you get the language randomly. It may sound a bit odd, but from some point it's reasonable, due to the fact that the range of the available languages is formed by the government, and if everyone chooses what they like, there would be chaos. Sooo this is how it went  What is more, here Italy and Italian culture is appreciated very much, and there have always been trade and economic relations. In the region where I was born there exists a free economic zone with some Italian businesses

I'll be happy to talk to you in the Ru forum haha feel free to come /flowerpower/
You can't even imagine how popular winx used to be in Russia! They are still well-known to people of my age and younger. I even remember going to the Winx Ice Show in 2010
And yes, there are quite many Russian users here, and back those times Russian forum also used to be very crowded!

I understand you very well! /flowerpower/ I indeed felt the same way, there was a LOT of stress and eventually even my hair began to fall off much more than usual, apart from my emotional instability. Sometimes I had to run off to the restroom in order to calm down. The work itself was not my cup of tea and I knew I would quit one day, but the worst thing was the bad management, they acted as if the employees were robots but not humans making this experience intollerable

I don't mind talking about work, so if you want to share something about it with me, you're always welcome /flowerpower/
So far I enjoy our conversation!
:ahhh: hopefully you enjoyed your pizza as well! which one is your favourite?

Hiii zao_zao

it's very fascinating to hear how people from outside Italy perceive it /flowerpower/
I mean, I love my country and Winx are probably one of the best things that have ever happened here, but there are many many faults that cannot be ignored. I don't want to get into politics, but let's just say that it's not as good as it may seem :?
However, I must say that when I was in Latvia for the Erasmus program I realized how much I actually missed Italy and how lucky I am to live here, so yeah I think it's a matter of perspective ^^
Talking about Erasmus, since I studied Russian at uni I was supposed to go to Russia for my period abroad :( It's so sad that it wasn't possible, I've always been fascinated by Russia, even when I was a child (especially due to the different alphabet, which made me soooo curious about the language)

About the forum, I don't know if it was a thing of the Italian site alone, but I vividly remember that at first we didn't have all the forums together (like we have here now), it was just the Italian one, and it was sooo crowded as well
When the former staff merged all the forums together, it was crazy to me to see how many people from all over the world were sharing my same childhood :D and I was so happy to meet new people, I started going to the Spanish, English and Portuguese forms and made friends there using google translate  I even joined a Turkish contest and made a Turkish comic page using google translate  God knows what I must have written...

I enjoy our conversation as well ! //MWOMWO" I don't have a favorite pizza flavor, last night I got a simple margherita because I wasn't very hungry. How about you? :)
