From Windows itself?

I find that hard to believe mainly because I also installed the game like everyone else and it never told me it has a trojan of any kind, just that the game comes from an unknown source. Outside antivirus like McFee or Avast MAY say it might have a trojan, mainly because they don't differenciate unknown sources from anything else. :ehmeh::

---

Update: I just checked a global website that makes a fetch on pretty much all antivirus and there is one only, out of 66 in the list, that claims there is a trojan, which is on the file of the launcher that directly connects to the website to check the version of the game and update it. This is not true, but it might be seen as trying to force data onto your computer or spying, when it's simply forcing you to update the game in case of updates. The game is safe! :happycopains_:

You can do the test yourself on the website:

I know this is not the case, but since this topic has been brought up, I just want to say it here because people have been accusing the game of being made just for me to "hack" your informations:

1. I wouldn't need the game to do that, that'd be way too much work to "trick" all of you. I just needed, hypothetically, your accounts on the website. So rebuilding an entire game just to trick and lure you, especially when I knew nothing about Unity and learned myself, seems like too much work, no?

2. Even I, myself, don't have the full extent of your data. I don't know your passwords at all and all I have access to are things like your nickname, your email and your ip address. I'd need to learn how to hack for that and even then, your passwords are stored in the phpbb database (this forum), not the website one, so it's one extra layer of security. Additionally, for people outside of the website trying to hack your accounts, it's even harder, since the server has 3 security measures (as in, needs to enter through a unique password stored on my own computer, and then two passwords for the server itself).

3. What does the website do on the game itself? The website runs your entire game. Your character, the clothes you buy, the items you add to your room, the players you meet, the version you are using, the connection to the website... all that is managed through the website itself, so you're not playing just a local game connected to the internet, you're playing a local-website game that is linked to the internet. This includes the game automatically downloading into your computer new clothes, new updates and news pretty much every single update, which may be seen as an "external" url trying to force more unknown data into your computer. Windows itself doesn't seem to have a problem with it, as well as most antiviruses, because there really isn't any. But others, for your protection, may act against it.

Just know that I made this entire website and the games for fun and as a safe space and I'd never do such a thing. :happycopains_:

If I do get more money, I might eventually buy an official license for both mac and windows to ensure the games are verified officially so that this doesn't happen anymore. /flowerpower/
