Hopefully I'll be able to make it a reality. I do have the game and its assets so it's a matter of finding someone to work on them... although I am also quite hopeful I might be able to do it myself as well, but only after things calm down and I have time to study the WA code. Everything that is not working is related to the database (or in layman's terms, it's everything regarding the website). The game works but it's not showing avatars, money or has the multiplayer working. It shows everything perfectly in place like the loadings, the buttons, the entire city, but doesn't show things like name, avatars or allows you to customize or buy anything.

I think we would all love that. I miss the game a lot too Can't you find someone within the community to help you ? Maybe someone somewhere knows about winx and unity

I don't want to say I don't want help, I'd love to have help getting the game back on track, and for a while in 2022-2023 I did try to find people in the fandom. I asked for help on the facebook page and also on discord and unity forums but no one ever replied, now that the website is finished and some time has passed, I feel like it's too much of a big deal to just hand over to a random person without knowing them personally or it being stricly professional.

I get you. Also I am not sure if there are many people who knows how this all works I mean there are a lot of people in the world who knows how to make games but how big is the chance to find someone here on the forums for example

Back in the last 2 attempts, in 2014 and then 2017 I was only the person with the "ambition" to do it and the users. I didn't know how to do the website or game, but I had pictures, insight into the game and a free platform filled with users from the old website. So an old french user, Guilhermo, decided to join me and we both combined both my website into something brand new made by him - similar to the old website - and later the game.
So I was in charge of the website's news and forum while he'd update it, create it and the game as well.

The first time, he lost interest and ultimately stopped paying for the server, so the game was lost and the website as well. The second time around, at the end of 2018, the free platform made a HUGE, HUGE update and free features until then went against a pay wall. And it was sort of expensive, so he gave up, gave me the game assets only and left... I still talk to him and we're fine, it's unfortunate it happened however, he'd finish the game and website so quickly...

The game, Winx Adventure, was fully working, but when the free server locked features, some of them database related, it glitched.

So right now:
The game has the city, the items, the store, the character creation, bedrooms, emotions... everything WORKING. EVERYTHING.
But everything connecting YOUR ACCOUNTS and YOUR ACTIONS in-game aren't - chat, character link between the game and your website account, emotions being registered in the server to be displayed in-game... all of that is broken.



He doesn't recognize the current website or its accounts, fixing this could probably put most of it working again

So we went our separate ways, but I really wanted to finish the website, so I took a lot of courses in my university related to web design and creation and was able to slowly rebuild the website in its entirety. But now the game's still broken and I am slowly trying to see if I can understand the game scripts to fix it... otherwise I'll pay someone to do it

Okay I think I start to understand. It's sad that you lost it earlier but I think you did a great job with this site. You really made progress if I read this. From not knowing how to make a site to this.

Now I realise like if you get it back we can play it again, it will be back. Not that I didn't realise before but now I really feel it. Would be so amazing to have that whole experience again, Winx Adventure meant so much to me. Till today I still miss that game.

Yup, I didn't know anything. But for the past 6-5 years, I slowly learned and did it myself, another friend joined along the way and taught me more things database related, so I did get help, but it's still me 75% of the time

I will surely get the game going again, it's just a matter of - can I fix it myself or will I have to waste more money and get someone to do it?

I'm currently trying to do it myself, I did fix a few things. The game itself recognizes our current database from this website already, but I have to go over all the 300+ scripts and fix every single one of them. We'll see if I can do it...

If not, I will get someone to help out, but the game will come eventually.
