Salomea wrote:@Alexarion - finished the first volume of Villains... and I absolutely did not burn my meal cause "it need to cook for 15 minutes, so I've moment to read"...
The volume is a5, full-colour (as You've said) and has golden embossing on the cover and yet it actually was cheaper than they initially suggested... which honestly makes me wonder if the publisher really has high enough profit margins to keep going...
Right now I can't wait for new volume, but I do hope it won't turn into too long of a series. Iit would be probably easy to do (prolong the "middle" - like some of the games "it's based on" do), but I would hate that to happen...
Anyways, thanks for recommendation!
Hey! How‘s it going?

I‘ve to tell you something really exciting. But I‘ll make a cliffhanger here. You‘ll read it in my last sentences hehehehe
I‘m so happy that you liked the first volume of Villains! I hope your meal didn‘t burn so much you couldn’t eat it anymore
Here the Manwha costs 14€ here. It‘s okay I think. I mean it‘s coloured, the cover is great and stuff. But for me personally the sides are way too thin. Be a bit carelessly and you have a crack in the paper. Never happened to me until now because I‘m hyper careful but still.
Believe me, the Manwha will get better with every volume. The series is like an addiction for me. I‘m so deep into it while reading. The last volumes were hell of an rollercoaster but it an amazing way! I love the characters. It has some surprising plots definitely. Here in Germany, last month the 8th volume was released. I think it won‘t be more than 9–10 volumes. Most of the Manwhas end with 10 or less volumes. And the 8th volume is near at the end of the story. So you should be good with that
Btw. you can always share what you read and thought about the characters and the story. I‘m thrilled to read it
Salomea wrote:BTW I watched the inZOI demo gameplay, and I think I finally get why I don't feel drawn to it- it looks like visualisation tool, that is used by architects and interior designers. It looks and feels "too realistic", and "of now". I know it sounds weird, but I think I prefer wacky, oddball stuff, like the teleportation elevator from sims 1, like Death coming to take some dying with hula dancers. I don't want the white kitches of death and ikea furnitures, that are the "pinnacle" of modern design and I really don't want smartphones in my game! Give me funky hamburger cable phone, or pigeon posts! Give me hoover cars, or unicorn drawn carriages! I know You can technically make such things in customisation tools, but I mean general feel. And that goes further, like od, unrealistic jobs, character reaction or wants.
Like imagine Magix sims game, that would be awesome!
So yeah I finally figured that out.
Yeah I totally agree. It looks way too polished in my opinion. Same! I think wacky stuff feels more fun and comfortable. I personally loved the Sims 3. Even tho it had a lot of bugs. I never actively played Sims 1 but my sister. Always watched her playing it and I remember the teleportation elevator. Back then I got scared when I read the death coming
I think the games goes with the time. I mean the sims games back then did as well. But I feel like I‘m not into that modern style as well. Looks too futuristic without any love in it
A magic sims game would be awesome! Your characters can transform and fly. But it has to have funny bugs. Then it‘d be perfect
Thanks for keeping me up to date! I honestly smiled a bit while reading your two extra posts
Salomea wrote:I think it's more that people don't look too carefully to spot the difference. Which isn't surpring given how many people also get scammed by dropshippers there...
I suppose they assume that Etsy would filter and block such content, but in recent time Etsy would rather harass and block real sellers instead... (a friend of mine has her shop there...).
Yeah, just because it was detailed, it doesn't mean it was correct... It doesn't do well with archeaology, it misquotes, uses outdated information, ect. If You don't know it's incorrect, You might be fooled, so it also propages misinformation. It also didn't want to admit there was too little data to solve chemical equation, instead giving me random solution, so there is that...
Yeah I figured. Sometimes I‘m scrolling through Etsy and see these weird AI stuff. I‘m sorry to hear that your friend got blocked. What does she sell?
I had a friend which wanted to earn money through creating AI colour books. I had a huge discussion with him why I think it‘s stealing and low effort. He didn‘t want to listen and honestly that was a topic that made me a bit mad
I also recently saw a lot of sponsored ai posts on instagram where people tell you how to earn money through AI art. I couldn‘t keep my mouth shut and commented on some posts sarcastically:“Sure, make artists even more poor. Congrats! Great job!“ But actually it‘s not my business and maybe I just pushed the algorithm with commmentin but I couldn‘t help it
Yeah true. I figured out the same. It‘s definitely a 50/50 thing. I found a good cake recipe you can make in a little cup. That was one good thing from Chat GPT I can recall 🤔
Which songs do you dance to? From Blackpink for example. And do you dance the original song choreography?
Salomea wrote: Oh that's pity. Drawing is great artistic training, but if they don't give You reasons for doing it misses the point, without conversation, context and feedback. I assume it was very condensed program too. I don't know how it's where You live, but here it used to be, that the art teachers were art uni graduates, but not of art education programs, but from painting, visual arts, ect. I don't know if that changed, last time I'm checked it didn't. So that means they not necessarily have heart for teaching and in fact can be resentful, since it was not their dream career in the first place...
It was Highschool you could say. But still
I mean, my teachers back then normally studied as teachers but with a focus on art. I don‘t know. I couldn‘t take their way of teaching art seriously. Nobody could. My classmates hated art class. I mean since I was at my school 10 years passed so I really do hope they changed something. I dunno if this may be a factor but my art teachers were old short before pension and they acted like really hate teaching and didn’t wanna be there
Salomea wrote: That's also a case here, but often it's the case.
Also "too old" for trees is mostlikely a misnomer, cause I doubt the trees in question are over 150-300 years old... And the other thing is, that if it's about safety, then it is better to "prune" off small branches, rather than having the large ones cut, but that takes time and skill, so You usually see very damaged trees as a result, that give little shade and shelter for animals...
You‘re definitely right! You could say the roots might not be strong enough. I feel like here in my city they cutted down a lot of trees. Maybe it‘s also because of climate change and it‘s too dry most of the time? I can‘t tell.
Definitely! Safety first! Still sad especially if you‘re going through your neighborhood and a lot of tree were cutted down

Salomea wrote: Aw thank You! ^^ And I agree architecture can be fascinating! On the one hand, You can see similar buildings from same period appearing in various countries, and those are usually official structures, or urban architecture (though often with local variations in layout and decorations). On the other there is a vernacular architecture that is local, from nearby material and adjusted to the climate of the place and particular needs of people there, which is more often small, private, skilled and disregarded by mass market developers... and much less protected from desctruction. But a cool thing is, that now, there are more and more initiatives to reclaim those traditions and include them in modern developement.^^ There is more research and project using mud and soil as a main building material and renown architects in the warm climates are promoting these old, but updated methods for urban developement as a way of providing sustainable controlled climates - passive cooling/heating, that is not dependant on electricity. Which is also something I find super fascinating! ^^
Wow, I never thought about this and I actually never thought that some buildings here might have features especially when it comes to layout and decoration. I was in Prague last year and the architecture is really amazing! I was told the architecture is mostly the same as in the 1940s because back then Prague was very lucky not getting b…. that much. I write it like that because I don‘t know if we‘re allowed to write it down here. Just in case
It‘s amazing how much stories architecture is telling us
Salomea wrote: So it's so much of a gamble with many title? Oh wow.
Then thank You for the app recomendation
I can't say I have many odd mangas, cause there aren't that many titles published... But one of them would be "my year -spring" it's adorable and bit sad, but the thing is, it ought to be first of four, but there were developement issues and in the meantime one of the authors died.
Perhaps "my brother's husband" would be more niche, or "garden of words", which is based on anime, that for years I though I hallucinated, cause no one was talking about it... but then Motoko Shinkai got popular
But it's more about books, since they are easier to get
You know something like "magia posthuma - processes and executions of dead in xii-xiii century", or "politics of erasure", "satanic feminism", "dark selene- magic ritual of drawning down the moon in antiquity", and now I'm eyeing "reperation of plaster - constructional ans conservational aspects".
I think it was published here too, but I don't know if it's still on shelves. But I got the first volume of "villains..." didn't get around to read it yet, but soon.
I wanted to check it out but couldn‘t find something under the name: My year–spring“ I found: Waiting for Spring“ by Harumatsu Bokura and „Back to Spring“ from Han Xu. Can you name the mangaka?
Oh no! I hate it when I find great manga and there a problems while publishing. Damn this will take a while if one of the authors died
Thanks for the recommendations. I’ll check them out! Especially My brothers husband caught my eye. I wanna read something different than the usual stuff I read

Alexarion from the future wants to tell you that you burned your food while simply reading the first 15 minutes. She thinks you like it
Salomea wrote: For me it can be even less, like with "atelier of witches hats", I think I got to 8-9 volume and was like "ha, we are still introducing new things out of left field and no resolution to the inciting incident, that was apparently time sensitive...". It felt as if it was not well thought out... And yeah, the longer the title goes, the more chances it runs out of steam and ideas... kinda like with winx club...
Yeah same. I don‘t like that as well because you can feel it when the story is nearly over and they put some extra stuff in to stretch it out.
Whaaat? Enchantix is not the final transformation? What do you mean? That‘s what Faragonda said
Salomea wrote: Oh I glad the book is turning up useful! ^^ I recently killed a minature rose, it had greenfly, so I've put it out on the balcony, so the bugs would get less active, as I didn't have anything against it (it was around 5°C) and I forgot about for 24h, and it was freezing during the night...
So, I really hope your plants will thrive!
Oh no, rip 💀 I can recommend a really nice and beautiful room plant to you. Google: Spathiphyllum wallisii
Sorry couldn’t find the English name for it. But this plant literally lays down their leaves when it‘s thirsty and they‘re rising up as soon as you water them! The plant is amazing! It literally tell you what they need. Recommendation here
My plants are thriving but one of them has bugs..again. This is the third time or so. Dunno if I should water the leaves and change the earth
Salomea wrote: I'm fine mostly, but I'm really tired of the cold and cloudy weather... It makes me feel really exhausted and dizzy. And I really mean it.
But how about You, how are You?
Recently I feel very good

Last days it was really sunny and warm. I felt like a phoenix rising out of their ashes
Hope you feel better now and got some ☀️
Now let‘s come to the cliffhanger..
I managed it draw again! I draw a lot since a week and I feel like slowly getting back at it. I do traditional and digital art right now and I loooove it! I‘ll post some stuff in my gallery in the art area here soon
How about you? Did you draw something?
