To be honest the size is more a storing issue. I have shelf in perfect "standard" manga size, and when publishers make them bigger, I can't put them there!

I generally wonder if that's the case, or if they assume, that there is only "one kind of reader" interested in "one kind of story", or if they got lazy in their work and uninterested in looking for different things. Perhaps it's a combination of factors, and maybe some financial ones too (like higher licencing costs of titles coming from different japanese publishing houses?).

I meant that if it's a longer series, like more than 1-5 volumes, it's too much of financial commitment. Like imagine importing One Piece from USA... financial ruin! :D

It definitely got more expensive here too, though it still is reasonable. Though yeah, back in the day it was bit more expensive than an average magazine, and now it's closer to a paperbag book.
Also I can't imagine ever getting such a deal, as I did with Sailor Moon back in early 2000s. I've got the entire series for about 1,5 - 2 euros per volume, all new. But that was because a really cool bookstore went out of business and another, nearby one took their stock. Thing is, that other bookstore maonly sold religious publications. :D So they put all the mangas in the furthest, smallest niche they had, in the back of the shop, and put the price as close to "for free" as they could, just to get rid of them as fast as they could, not to spook their regular customers.

Which one? 12 kindoms or the cat? If the cat, then maybe, though I never thought about it...

I'm glad and thank You. See, being, let's say, "over 25", I still don't know that many people reading manga. And I stil feel rather silly going to manga section, or store, as they are usually occupied by teens :ehmeh::

It did? Oh that's so interesting! Was it still in the times of Yt uploads and "odd" anime websites? :D
For me it was probably the other way around, as I think that it was these uploads and fan translations, that helped me learn English (don't pay attention to my spelling, it's a combination of dyslexia, annoying keyboard and lack of spell-check :ehmeh:: ).
Btw I kinda miss those translations, cause the people who made them actually cared, so they included translations of anything written on screen, like roadsigns, or letters (netflix!) and footnotes explaing culture, ect. You could genuinely learn from that, right?

Aw, thank You! Yours is so cute too! /flowerpower/

It‘s okay I mean I feel like we have three parallel conversations in different threads. It‘s okay that you get confused

Ooh, sad! Totally get that. Do you have those standard white ikea shelf’s or what do they look like?

Could be the case! Or it‘s the thought:“Never change a running system. Definitely works a second time!

I never import stuff I only buy in local stores but nowadays when I wanna buy something I read the first chapters or even a volume or two online and if I like it I‘m gonna buy it because buying with no clue is just a waste of money for me. But I still prefer physical media. I just love the scent of paper. I can‘t miss out on that :ehmeh::
But as I said I try to buy careful. I like to read stuff several times but it has to be interesting and worthy buying then.

2 Euro!? Bargain! I could never ever imagine those prices today in second hand. Omg imagine they were like:“manga? Isn‘t that the stuff with tentacles? Ugh! Out of my sight!“

No, no Salomea. Don‘t feel embarrassed. We‘re the real OG‘s! They should bow when they see you in the manga section 8-)

I‘ve a comic shop here and the customers are so mixed. I mostly see adults here so I never get a weird feeling being there :D

It was the YouTube times where you had to watch like several videos to get through one episode. And every part was like 7 minutes or something. Quality was like 360px or even less. I was glad having at least something to watch

I think I mostly watched fan–subs! You just unlocked a memory! I remember those little translations when it came to proverbs or specific Japanese words. There was so much love in the fan subs! in_love_

Your English is pretty good. Don‘t worry about that :)

Then maybe we should move all those threads here, so it's clearer to us, and doesn't take space in other places?

Alexarion wrote:Ooh, sad! Totally get that. Do you have those standard white ikea shelf’s or what do they look like?

No, it's an old set of cabinets, which has this one shelf, that doesn't fit anything, but stardard mangas... I just have too many books to put anywhere, so it makes my sad, when I can't even find place for those bigger mangas!

Alexarion wrote:Could be the case! Or it‘s the thought:“Never change a running system. Definitely works a second time!

Yeah, something like that too...

That sounds like a smart approach. Unfortunately, in my case, getting anything in foreign languages means online order, cause even specialised bookstores don't carry titles I'm into. Rip bookdepository, you were a godsend... And that's specially true with anything second hand (and now getting those from ebay is also more complicated...). But yeah, I too prefer physical media. Especially that I one digital book pulled from my acount! It was a gift from a friend from usa. She purchased it giving my EU adress and they were very happy to take her money, but I couldn't download it. Tech support at her end suggested switch my adress to american one. So to read it, I needed to use her adress. But sometime later, after app update, that no longer worked and they deleted it from my account... :cloud: So yeah, physical copy all the way!

Alexarion wrote:2 Euro!? Bargain! I could never ever imagine those prices today in second hand. Omg imagine they were like:“manga? Isn‘t that the stuff with tentacles? Ugh! Out of my sight!“

Yeah, it was extremly cheap even for that time. Yeah, in some cases You rather expect to pay more for the second hand title... :|
I don't think they had such advanced belief  I wouldn't be surprised if they thought it was some silly, childish stuff and they were selling serious literature, thank You very much!

Aw, that's a great way to look on it! Though in honesty, specialised manga stores are pretty recent here, so I was never their target audience. And it doesn't help that people behind the counter are also 18-20...

Oh, You are lucky with that store! Wish there were more places like that! So are You also reading comics?

Oh goodness, the good old time of 360px :D I remember watching 3rd season of Winx Club, like that, straight from tv screen-catching, and wondering if Italian is secretly the true universal language, or are the dialog lines that simple and obvious...

You're welcome :) And yeah, though people had a lot of love and wanted to share it. Hope those people are doing good today and what they love. /flowerpower/

Alexarion wrote:Your English is pretty good. Don‘t worry about that :)

Thanks. /flowerpower/ And I hope so, I've written my thesis in english, but this is dislexia for You. On one hand, I can't often tell how to spell some words, on the other, when typing I sometimes put the wrong word, cause for my brain, in that moment, that's what I should type in. To the all so fun anxiety regarding the spelling, cause when You know You are prone to making these mistakes, You are becoming very self-conscious and then your brain makes You feel even worse, when You find them. And as cherry on top, I'm mainly using my tablet to write here, and I don't know, if You agree, but for me "virtual" keyboards have just awful input sensing...

So how are You today? Did You do something fun?

Sure you´re right! Btw this is getting veeeery long now. But Salomea´s Corner, Salomea´s wish 8-)
But thanks to the quote option this won´t be a problem :D

Salomea wrote:I though that Sims 5 was cancelled... Yeah, I've heard about it, but I'm not into genAI and from what I remember they were using it for, at least, patterns. I know there was also that project, called something like "paralives". I don't know if it's still going though...

To be honest I don't know if competion is enough. Personally, I would go with all-religions exorcisms and whole board replacement with people from dev teams... for the beginning...

Oh really? You seem to be up to date! :D Maybe Sims 4 is selling too well to end.. :ehmeh::

Yeah, they use AI patterns for clothes for example and I totally agree! I mean the topic AI in general. Some time ago I found a really cool quote. I found it on Reddit and I mean I see a lot of content, memes, quotes. But this is one that really is stuck in my head since I read it for the first time. Because it describes perfectly how I feel about this whole AI situation!
I mean, robots, electric stuff should do our chores so we can focus on creativity and development!

I heard about Paralives as well! I just checked the development and they go into Early Access at some point in this year. Maybe middle of the year because right now they still update the character, hairstyle and stuff. But it looks good so far!

Okay, so my question then is: If you could develop a game how should it be? I know very open question. But go for it. I´m curious :ugeek:

Salomea wrote:Oh I played Pocket Camp too. I liked fishing in that game. Untill after one update, it just didn't want to log me in and that was that...

Actually I do. I usually play some dress up game, till something starts bothering me too much, then go on pause and find something new. :D Also occasionally sudoku :D
From time to time I'm also play Harvest Moon. I got it as an relaxing farming sim and then learnt that I'm doing that title wrong. :cloud:
And how about You, do You play any more titles?

Oh. Maybe give Pocket Camp another try if you enjoyed it

Dress-up games? For example? :D If you like Fashion games maybe Infinity Nikki is something for you? It´s a cozy MMO where you collect clothes and the dresses have special functions. I just informed myself about this game and I´m so hooked. But I´m trying to make a little digital detox and it looks like a game you can get addicted to. So I think I´ll pass :ehmeh::
But maybe it´s something for you.

I never finished Sudoku once in my life. When I thought I was done I noticed I wrote down the same two numbers and I have to re-do it

Right now I´m totally in the Nintendo DS rabbit hole and I´m play Dogz (very similiar to Nintendogs) and Cookie Shop. Very cute and cozy, chill games. I enjoy them in_love_

Salomea wrote:It was so simplistic, it felt unnatural. Both sides were pretty much dumb, think "mcu civil war", and You couldn't stay neutral, or just partially agreeing with either side..

Maybe they thought staying neutral would be boring? Who knows. But I get what you mean. With unsatisfying answers. I had that in Life is Strange from time to time. You´ve to make a decision and you can see a sentence of what your characters is going to say but they always change it a little bit. It´s never exactly the sentence. Which is fine. But then you´ve a decision where you want to be empathethic to a character, choose the answer and your character is like:"XY is very mad sbout this. What are you going to do?" And then the answer you choose were:"I feel sorry for you.."

And you just watch this whole scenery and sit there like:"Nooo, why? :( "

Salomea wrote:Yes and no. I have an account, but I need to use my partners PC to use it, as Steam stopped being supported on my laptop. (Though in all fairness I rather use gog nowadays...).
I understand You completly :( And yeah, I've heard that Nintendo doesn't realky belive in sales or discounts  but I'm glad to hear You've still managed to grab something for DS ^^ What titles do You play then? And what dance routines do You do?

I see. I never heard from GOG until now.

There we are again. Prices. "Why making discounts? People buy it anyway  " I mean they sometimes have discounts but just like 30% or something. For games that released 10 years ago. What. the. heck... //EHDOHEH/ But third party games (like games from indie studio) get really good discounts! Do you ever heard of Deponia? Or Harveys New Eyes, Edna and Harvey the Breakout? Very funny Point and Click Adventures. I see them in the E-shop for 2 Euro or something. It´s so worth it. But Nintendo game prices are stable.. not matter what :ahhh:

You maybe noticed it but talking about Nintendo, games, NDS in general is a topic I´m very passionate about but especially NDS is a very niche theme. I watch videos about it and hang around on Reddit and Discord and the community is pretty alive! So that´s where I mostly got the games.

I like to play Mario games, Kirby, any other cute or cozy games, Style Savy, Professor Layton, Ace Attorney. All kind of games besides action games like Smash Bros. It´s not my kind of game :)

Some years ago I was dancing in a dance school but you know, life gets in the way, you´ve less time, motivation and stuff. I do dance workouts. Like, easy choreos. I watch a guy on youtube his channel is Golfy Dance Fitness. He´s always so happy and passionate about the choreos so I use his videos to do my workouts and it just makes a lot fun! I like K-Pop a lot and doing dances to songs I really like in_love_

Gosh sorry for this long text  :ehmeh::

Hope You've had some time to recharge a bit then. Yeah, social engagments are seriously tiring, I feel You!

Oh! Do you love architecture in general? And do you like lost places? I don´t think it´s silly but interesting :D
Are you religious? You can keep me up to date if you want. I´m interested to see what you´re creating.

I had! And they are. I feel like the older I get the more I need breaks from social events.

Don´t you have that much option in your country when it comes to manga? You´re from Portugal right? Correct me if I´m wrong. Maybe I confused you with another User :ehmeh:: Hmm.. can´t you download a manga app? I have one on my phone for reading stuff online in English. The selection is good and there aren´t much manga I didn´t found there. It´s called MangaKakalot. Can recommend it!

Oh man, that sounds complicated. You just wanted to read. Nothing else. So your current solution is to import English stuff?

Salomea wrote:Yeah, it was extremly cheap even for that time. Yeah, in some cases You rather expect to pay more for the second hand title... :|

I think that´s the case with a lot of stuff nowadays. Some Stuff not getting produced anymore. You can´t buy it new. Prices rise like idk what. Do you know the Manga Switch Girl? It´s very old, from the early 00´s I believe and if you want to buy all volumes you pay over 300 Euro.. that is the price for the manga if they´d be completely new and sealed.. :?

You never know Salomea 8-) Yeah.. that maybe makes more sense than my theory

Salomea wrote:Oh, You are lucky with that store! Wish there were more places like that! So are You also reading comics?

I´m really thankful and happy about that! I´m not even living in a huge city but we´ve several book and comic shops here.
No, I only read manga but the stores selling manga, dvds, merch and stuff are called comic shops :)

And you?

Salomea wrote:Thanks. /flowerpower/ And I hope so, I've written my thesis in english, but this is dislexia for You. But isn´t that completely normal when English is your second language? Don´t get me wrong! I don´t want to sound like I´m not taking it seriously but I get the problems you´re talking about. Even while texting here with you, the tab with the translator is always open because sometimes I don´t know words and what they mean or I´m trying to describe something and can´t find the suitable word for it. So don´t worry about that too much. Your English is pretty good and your writing sounds very smooth and like a native speaker :D

I know how you feel /flowerpower/ I have that anxiety while talking in general..oops
But maybe we should try to deal different with our mistakes? It´ll take more time for us to be confident in ourselves if we react with anxiety to mistakes. Mistakes are there to be made. Otherwise you wouldn´t grow beyond yourself. Be thankful to see them, correct them and try to make it better. And sometimes we make the same mistakes several times until we completely correct them! Anxiety just causes us to make mistakes because we´re too much in alarm mode /flowerpower/

Oh I sometimes also chat here while being on tablet but I figured, especially when texting so much it´s just too annoying for me. Btw you´re currently the only person I talk so much here with and I think simply writing all of this took like two hours or something. But I don´t mind. Being here and talking to you makes my day a little bit because I can focus more on the good things hehe  /flowerpower/

I feel good right now because my goal was to make a little phone/digital detox and so far it worked! I mean I don´t want to completely waive things but I try to be less on my phone for example because it often leads to useless doomscrolling. While being here feels productive! I connect with you guys and play minigames. I want to keep this kind of fun and don´t want to be too strict to myself with the detox here :D

Besides that I did some laundry and my boyfriend will come over later. Really looking forward seeing him again zao_zao

And how´s your day so far? /flowerpower/

Have fun with this chapter HAHAHAHAHA

Hey, sorry for such long break, but I had guests coming on Saturday and since the weather was really warm, I took opportunity for early spring cleaning
Then on Sunday went on walk and got soaked by the falling snow, to battle cold on Monday. Like can a girl get a break.

Yeah, that's one problem with ai, other is that it's basically plagiarism (with extra steps to murky the water, but not to make it more original)...
(I get why maybe small creative team would want to use it, but somehow it's usually not small team, who uses it the most).

Oh thanks for checking! I'm so glad they are still going with Paralives! I'm cheering them from the corner! (Same with Skyblivion team, no matter the stunt Bethesda is trying to pull off now.)

You know what. I think sn old fashion point'n'click adventure :D And You?

No, the pain is to great :D
Funny enough I can't, my tablet isn't supported and I don't want to play it on my laptop. But I used to play Love Nikki back in the day. But yeah from what I see, it seems very easy to get hooked up on it.

That's why the digital one is useful, cause it tells You if You made a mistake. :D

I'm guesing that Dogz is a bit like a virtual pet? But what is the Cookie Shop about?

I suppose, but You often serve as a litteral judge and not having the opportunity to say that "both side suck", or "it seem like an misunderstanding, just apologize to each other and stop wasting my time" feels unnatural.

Oh that is a completely different issue, and yeah specially in game like "Life is Strange" must have been annoying!

Oh, I'm going to check his channel, cause I wouldn't mind learning to dance a bit. I've been trying to follow some k-pop dance routines, but I have a feeling my attempts have more in common with panic chicken flapping its wings, than anything else.
So what songs do You like dancing to?

I think I'm finding it fascinating, though I'm not sure I'd say I love it... Then again, I technically enrolled for architecture drawing classes... Then again I doubt I'm going back for this semester... But then again, that's because there were mainly highschoolers there and I didn't like the teaching method - the teacher had us imagine a view, like "you are looking at the cityscape from fifth floor". She said that, it's because all architects need to know how to do that.
And I mean, maybe, but as someone with some experience in painting- good luck with doing that without already having an image library in your head to pull from! Sorry, but that's not good for beginners, and especially without explaining the rules of archtectural drawing...
Plus, I hoped there would be some info about history of architecture, like this type of window is typical for neo-classicism, but appeared well into early XXc, so if You want to draw something to fit into that style, include them. Something like that I guess...
Sorry for the rant, but I've seen this teaching approach of "do that, but we won't explain You why You are doing it wrong" way too many times, and I feel like it's just wasting people's time. Really hope You didn't have to get through something like that.

I do like lost places, but I think there just something beautiful in time and nature laying claims to the man made structures. [And perphaps it's also bit cathardic, cause all to often I see people destroying the little of nature around me with some st**id investitions (like cutting down trees to make new football field, in place of atlethics and running court, cause who cares about those three...).]

How about You? How do You feel about architecture?

I suppose You could say that, but I'm also an archaeologist and continental Celts are one of my specialization and a life-long interest. (Plus I sometime feel like I should try to complete my religion studies M.A.)

The delapidated building is in good chunck done, but I haven't progressed with the second idea at all, so far :D

Oh that's great to hear! And I think I understand that, but I also wonder if it's not because of the changing dynamics. Having more complicated schedules and changing enviroments and interests, that make keeping up harder and less spontanous...

Alexarion wrote:Don´t you have that much option in your country when it comes to manga? You´re from Portugal right? Correct me if I´m wrong. Maybe I confused you with another User  :ehmeh:: Hmm.. can´t you download a manga app? I have one on my phone for reading stuff online in English. The selection is good and there aren´t much  manga I didn´t found there. It´s called MangaKakalot. Can recommend it!

Oh man, that sounds complicated. You just wanted to read. Nothing else. So your current solution is to import English stuff?

Oh no, I'm your neighbour :D
I have bookwalker, but even digital ones aren't that cheap.
Yeah, in many cases yes, cause I've tendency of picking up weirdest titles with small chances for becoming topseller, especially in case of books. But again I preffer physical copies. And in case I don't like them, I can donate them to library, which might have use for bigger foreign language section (or they can sell it, to buy other books). ^^

Alexarion wrote:I think that´s the case with a lot of stuff nowadays. :?

300 euros?! I would definitely be going after new and sealed, but I'm gonna guess used aren't that cheaper either? That's why re-releases are awesome!

Alexarion wrote:I´m really thankful and happy about that! I´m not even living in a huge city but we´ve several book and comic shops here.
No, I only read manga but the stores selling manga, dvds, merch and stuff are called comic shops :)

And you?

Oh, I see. That's for that info. ^^ And that's so cool, both for You and your community.

No, not really. I sometimes buy some small stand alone books, but that's very rarely, if I randomly notice something. But nothing from the large comic houses, for some reason they don't really appeal to me. I'm guessing it't the same in your case?

Alexarion wrote:But isn´t that completely normal when English is your second language?

Yeah, that's more like anxiety actually. Like You know it's not such a big thing, but your brain runs with it anyway. Plus your brain legitimitely has issues with pattern recognision, even something so simple like left-right...

Sorry to hear about your anxiety, hope You're able to get some assistance with it!

Alexarion wrote:Oh I sometimes also chat here while being on tablet but I figured, especially when texting so much it´s just too annoying for me.

Yeah, it's not the most comfortable :D
In that case, I'm sorry for such a long delay in my reply!

Oh, I'm so glad to hear the detox is working for You! ^^ And yeah, You should definitely follow your gut in regards what to cut and what to keep in!

Hope the boyfriend visit went well ^^

It´s digital. That´s sounds hard. I´m a perfectionist. I can´t just ruin my artwork. Even if it´s just a copy. But right now I´m focusing more on myself in general, less social media and I think it´ll take some time but I hope it helps me to get back my motivation for drawing. Right now I ´m just not in the mood.

So how is it going? :) And again the purpose is to loosen up and feel free to make mistakes, cause I know it often blocks me. Still, maybe You need to give it time and do something else instead ^^

No problem! I also took some kind of break but unintentional. Welcome back! zao_zao
You´ll get a break soon! But yeah, getting soaked isn´t comfortable :ehmeh::

The weather is fooling me a lotl! Since some days it´s really sunny outside all day long and as soon as I go outside I get hit with the hard reality:"It´s still winter. Don´t forget your scarf and hat." I´m waiting for the summer to arrive. I can´t wait

Oh thanks for checking! I'm so glad they are still going with Paralives! I'm cheering them from the corner! (Same with Skyblivion team, no matter the stunt Bethesda is trying to pull off now.)

You know what. I think sn old fashion point'n'click adventure :D And You?

You can even buy AI art that is not even labeled as AI on Etsy and stuff and people don´t see the difference. It´s getting better and better. Artifical Intellegence is a really big topic. I once saw a AI video where you heard Trump, Biden and Obama playing Super Mario Bros Wii. They sounded so real. It´s frightening. I don´t like that creativity is dying :ehmeh::

You´re welcome! I´m curious about how it´ll be when it´s coming out.

Btw. out of curiousity I tried out ChatGPT and asked it some random questions. It´s really accurate. I asked it how I can reach a healthy level with fitness, food and mental state. I just gave it little information about what I already do for it and the answer was so detailed. It was impressive not gonna lie :ugeek:

Good question indeed! :ugeek:  I think I´d go for a cute and chill story game with decorating, building bonds with the characters or something

You can also play Pocket Camp on your phone though 8-) Jk

I feel like I also played Love Nikki back then. It reminded me of the good old browser game time where you could play bunch of dress up games in_love_

Yes! I didn´t finish it because I´m doing a lot of cross-playing right now. I play a lot of games in a short amount of time so some games are a bit behind. Cookie Shop is a game where you run a cake shop in a huge building. You discover new recipes and cook them until they taste perfect. The building contains several other shops. You can talk to the other shop owners. While talking to them you get important informations about what customers like. For example: One shop owner told me that for this month my lucky color is orange. I rearranged the menu and choose only orange looking cakes. With that, I got much more money than before. Goal of the game is to become the most popular shop of them all and reach the first place in the list :)

Thanks I´m gonna check out Gog!

Salomea wrote:I guess. I mean Nintendo is famous for that, but it's good that at least those other games get some discounts :D

Salomea wrote:What dance style were You learning in yhe dance studio? And which was your fave?
Oh, I'm going to check his channel, cause I wouldn't mind learning to dance a bit. I've been trying to follow some k-pop dance routines, but I have a feeling my attempts have more in common with panic chicken flapping its wings, than anything else.
So what songs do You like dancing to?

I did cutting shapes/shuffle in the dance school. You mostly just use your legs and feet. Maybe you heard the step "Running man" at some point. It´s coming from Shuffle :) Besides that I was in a Hip Hop class. Also made a lot of fun! The teacher told use to wear baggy clothes so it´s easier to get into the mood and choreo and she was right :D And I was in a K-Pop dance group but left because I coulnd´t keep up the tempo.

Shuffle/Cutting Shapes is very easy to learn and it´s nice but I feel like I´m recently more into K-Pop idk :D

I can really recommend Golfy Dance Fitness! I think his choreos are very easy to learn and not too difficult. My first choreo to learn from him was APT from Rose and Bruno Mars. When it comes to dancing everything is muscle memory and you get better from time to time. Also if you have a big mirror, place it in front of you while dancing so you can check your body posture /flowerpower/

So I mostly only use his choreos while dancing so I´m dancing to APT, Enhypen Drunk Dazed, Bloody Mary, Night Dancer Imase, Super Junior Sorry Sorry AND I´m currently learning S-Class from Stray Kids.

What songs do you like to dance to? Do you like to hear K-Pop in general? zao_zao

About the architecture..

I totally agree with you! Also it´s so helpful to use reference and it´s important! Because then you really learn how to draw shapes, variatios, how light points and perspective works etc.

Seems like the course only scratched the surface without really getting into it.

I only remember art class in school and the topics were always really random and not itneresting at all. I was like first lesson: Draw a mannequin. Second lesson: Try to continue drawing the half-done landscape printed on a paper. Why? Because drawing is art.You get a grade for that."

That was my art class so.. I know what you feel like :ehmeh::

Sounds sad. I often see cutted trees here too but more because of they´re too old and the branches might break and hurt people.

I don´t know anything about architecture to be honest. I like to explore different architectures while exploring different countries and cultures and I´d like to be able to draw them. It fascinates me that buildings can be that old. But I like reading you talking about it

Oh I didn´t know that! Good to know!

Maybe I need to take more breaks and do stuff slow instead of trying to keeping up constantly with the fast pace nowadays :)

At least in the comic shops. It´s wild. Sometimes they ask me if I´m really sure if I wanna sell them because I get little to no money from them.

Btw. I just bought 3 volumes of a series I started years ago. I found them for 24 Euro shipping included. The genre is slice of life with a bit of detective elements I´d say. It has nice backrounds and gives me a bit ghibli vibes. It´s called Go with the clouds , north by northwest in_love_

I think it's more that people don't look too carefully to spot the difference. Which isn't surpring given how many people also get scammed by dropshippers there...
I suppose they assume that Etsy would filter and block such content, but in recent time Etsy would rather harass and block real sellers instead... (a friend of mine has her shop there...).

Yeah, just because it was detailed, it doesn't mean it was correct... It doesn't do well with archeaology, it misquotes, uses outdated information, ect. If You don't know it's incorrect, You might be fooled, so it also propages misinformation. It also didn't want to admit there was too little data to solve chemical equation, instead giving me random solution, so there is that...

Oh that's pity. Drawing is great artistic training, but if they don't give You reasons for doing it misses the point, without conversation, context and feedback. I assume it was very condensed program too. I don't know how it's where You live, but here it used to be, that the art teachers were art uni graduates, but not of art education programs, but from painting, visual arts, ect. I don't know if that changed, last time I'm checked it didn't. So that means they not necessarily have heart for teaching and in fact can be resentful, since it was not their dream career in the first place...

Alexarion wrote:

That's also a case here, but often it's the case.
Also "too old" for trees is mostlikely a misnomer, cause I doubt the trees in question are over 150-300 years old... And the other thing is, that if it's about safety, then it is better to  "prune" off small branches, rather than having the large ones cut, but that takes time and skill, so You usually see very damaged trees as a result, that give little shade and shelter for animals...

Alexarion wrote:

Aw thank You! ^^ And I agree architecture can be fascinating! On the one hand, You can see similar buildings from same period appearing in various countries, and those are usually official structures, or urban architecture (though often with local variations in layout and decorations). On the other there is a vernacular architecture that is local, from nearby material and adjusted to the climate of the place and particular needs of people there, which is more often small, private, skilled and disregarded by mass market developers... and much less protected from desctruction. But a cool thing is, that now, there are more and more initiatives to reclaim those traditions and include them in modern developement.^^ There is more research and project using mud and soil as a main building material and renown architects in the warm climates are promoting these old, but updated methods for urban developement as a way of providing sustainable controlled climates - passive cooling/heating, that is not dependant on electricity. Which is also something I find super fascinating! ^^

So it's so much of a gamble with many title? Oh wow.

Then thank You for the app recomendation :D
I can't say I have many odd mangas, cause there aren't that many titles published... But one of them would be "my year -spring" it's adorable and bit sad, but the thing is, it ought to be first of four, but there were developement issues and in the meantime one of the authors died. :(
Perhaps "my brother's husband" would be more niche, or "garden of words", which is based on anime, that for years I though I hallucinated, cause no one was talking about it... but then Motoko Shinkai got popular
But it's more about books, since they are easier to get :D You know something like "magia posthuma - processes and executions of dead in xii-xiii century", or "politics of erasure", "satanic feminism", "dark selene- magic ritual of drawning down the moon in antiquity", and now I'm eyeing "reperation of plaster - constructional ans conservational aspects".

I think it was published here too, but I don't know if it's still on shelves. But I got the first volume of "villains..." didn't get around to read it yet, but soon.

Alexarion wrote:Well.. that´s the price for the used volumes because you can´t find new one´s since they don´t produce it anymore

For me it can be even less, like with "atelier of witches hats", I think I got to 8-9 volume and was like "ha, we are still introducing new things out of left field and no resolution to the inciting incident, that was apparently time sensitive...". It felt as if it was not well thought out... And yeah, the longer the title goes, the more chances it runs out of steam and ideas... kinda like with winx club...

Oh I glad the book is turning up useful! ^^ I recently killed a minature rose, it had greenfly, so I've put it out on the balcony, so the bugs would get less active, as I didn't have anything against it (it was around 5°C) and I forgot about for 24h, and it was freezing during the night...
So, I really hope your plants will thrive!

BTW I watched the inZOI demo gameplay, and I think I finally get why I don't feel drawn to it- it looks like visualisation tool, that is used by architects and interior designers. It looks and feels "too realistic", and "of now". I know it sounds weird, but I think I prefer wacky, oddball stuff, like the teleportation elevator from sims 1, like Death coming to take some dying with hula dancers. I don't want the white kitches of death and ikea furnitures, that are the "pinnacle" of modern design and I really don't want smartphones in my game! Give me funky hamburger cable phone, or pigeon posts! Give me hoover cars, or unicorn drawn carriages! I know You can technically make such things in customisation tools, but I mean general feel. And that goes further, like od, unrealistic jobs, character reaction or wants.
Like imagine Magix sims game, that would be awesome!
So yeah I finally figured that out.

@Alexarion - finished the first volume of Villains... and I absolutely did not burn my meal cause "it need to cook for 15 minutes, so I've moment to read"...
The volume is a5, full-colour (as You've said) and has golden embossing on the cover and yet it actually was cheaper than they initially suggested... which honestly makes me wonder if the publisher really has high enough profit margins to keep going...
Right now I can't wait for new volume, but I do hope it won't turn into too long of a series. Iit would be probably easy to do (prolong the "middle" - like some of the games "it's based on" do), but I would hate that to happen...
Anyways, thanks for recommendation!
